It's clear the guy is a pitbull and does a lot of dirty work.

It's also clear he's a cheap signing, mostly because his salaries are probably relatively low.

Don't know about his technical skills though. He must be better than Sturaro or be able to naturally play DM when Marchisio can't.

It's definitel a low risk bet. Not sure about the reward, though. If it's also low, I don't like this. But if he shows technical skills enough to put him ahead of Sturaro, it's good enough. Have to wait to judge. If he can be a decent rotation piece (really decent), it's OK.

I have another idea. Sell Hernanes for 6 mio, and dont use the money to buy another 28/29 year old shitty CM. Instead invest the money and add some more,and invest in someone who would make a difference either now or in the future. Add another 20 mio. and get Kessie, add 25 mio. and get Dahoud.

Kessie has talent but our managment has blocked a potential arrival due to his disciplinary problems.

Dahoud is a good shout for the future but he is not what we need right now. We need physicality and power in the midfield, not another fancy creative midfielder.

So for our needs at this current moment, Rincon does the job at a reasonable price. We are getting rincon to fullfill our needs not because we can't afford other midfielders. I'm sure our managment have an idea of talents like tielemans, dahoud etc... and will likely pounce on one just like they did with dybala,sandro, pogba, rugani etc....

He is a fysical beast, with much better technique than sturaro. His skills are very much needed in our midfield

Marchisio and Pjanic are our "creative" playmakers. Rincon again is a quick fix; there is a lack of whysical appearance in our midfield since vidal and pogba left. there aren't any other midfielders around with similar characteristics unless u pay 25m+, which is why i think marotta will wait until the summer for another good CM.

This is a very similar situation to Hernanes in 2015. Hernanes is not a WC player but he did a job for us especially when marchisio was out. This transfer is just to fullfill the needs we need now.
