Word to Ricard. I'm more of a Marseilles pastis guy than a Paris one. How ridiculously pompous does that sound? :shifty:

And along with Arak and Ouzo, don't forget Sambucca, signore.
No disrespect to Sambucca here.

As for pastis, it is originated from Marseille, so one should appreciate their bottles, but I haven't had the chance to taste but Ricard.

Well it probably started as home made but nowadays you find lots of brands manufacturing it. It is our national drink, get to know about it more http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arak_(liqueur)

    Thus far I have been fortunate enough to travel quite a bit...lived in three different continents....endless cities and with that being a single guy with a loud mouth and no shame it has gotten me a good number of turn downs and at the same time one night or one month stands with the finest North America, Europe has to offer...from hot blooded Napolitani in Italy making my pelvis hurt to milk-white and ultra blonde Swiss in remote places like Basel to Argentinians ultra rich going down on me in clubs in Rome to the nastiest Jersey Skanks hitting it on the dance floor in Amsterdam and even wanna be models in Milan high on Meth and Black Ice groping me thinking they have a 'Bobo Vieri' story to tell their cousin Vladimir back home in Kiev..its been one hell of a ride Gobbi's..however, nothing matches the sweet, delicious exquisite lovely shy Goddess I met in Athens that summer night in 2004 walking down the Kolonaki and having a dinner in a small square over looking the Pantheon.....magical above all else

    This Song is for Lilianna the Godess of Greece, Tzatziki and things from the wonderful land of Paris Latsis

    Before I start, I should mention I have no previous song writing or vocal experience..I was driven only by my desire and lust for this little Koukla

    Look at this.. Like some old poor poet.

    Lilly my darling, you are my sunshine;
    When we're together I feel fine.
    Your smile is so lovely; your hair is so clean;
    You make me feel that the whole world is mine.
    Lilly, Lilly, Lilly, Lilly, Lilly, Lilly, Lilly, Lilly,
    Lilly, Lilly, Lilly, Lilly, L-I-L-L-Y ...
    Why? Because you're

    Lilly, Lilly, Lilly, Lilly, Lilly, Lilly, Lilly,
    (pause) Kelly, Lilly Lilly, Lilly, Lilly, Lilly,
    Lilly of mine!
    :lol2:
