I don't buy that argument, really. A Jesus caricature has made regular appearances in episodes of South Park, and nobody called for death threats. In fact, even in this country of psychotic Christians, I'm actually a bit surprised that no one has even called for a boycott.

But I think we're talking about specific Muslims here -- the kind that have little information flow from the "outside world". For them, religious satire almost seems unheard of. Most Muslims I know just shrugged it off, but that's likely because in order to be exposed to some chump in San Francisco like me, they've perhaps experienced a bit more of the world and have more of a perspective.

A lot of it is about exposure. As a counter example, I remember the huge Christian boycott and freak-out here over the release of the Martin Scorsese/Willem Dafoe movie The Last Temptation of Christ. Turns out that all the people who freaked out about it had never bothered to see it.

we Muslims are more attached to our religion and maybe more than christian as we pray 5 times a day and even with all our differences the only thing that really unit us is the religion. am not saying that christians are not religious also, but Muslims are much uptight.
and to be honest i don't get it why do they make fun of any religious symbol. it's just wrong is there nothing leeft to make fun of? am a muslim and to be honest i feel offended even when they make fun of the christ or jews. ppl need to learn there limits and respect to all the religion even if u don't belevie in

Thats just the thing, I dont believe he would say the same thing if it was England, or Sweden or Holland that knocked Croatia out, i believe he said it just because it was Turkey.


And TBH, I dont get that whole attachment to Turkey thing either, I personally only supported them after Croatia scored because I like the drama and excitement and I wanted to see penalties.

I didn't delete the thread because it was created by Vlatko but because it could lead to 5 days of members arguing and insulting eachother. Vlatko was warned and he knows that he can't do that again.

That kind of thread would have been deleted instantly if it was opened up by anyone, because it would fuel unnecessary fighting, trolling, etc. So, if you were mod, you would have banned me instantly and left the thread visible? And FYI, Alen didn't warn me, Swag did. I got 4 infraction points, whatever that means, so if he didn't consider it worthy as an instant ban, I'll accept his decision. Exactly, I only ever got one warning on this forum before and that was for going off-topic.

Frankly, I haven't got a clue why Zlatan is persisting so much on this issue. I hardly know the guy, I only became active on this forum around the time he (supposedly) left it for good. My only guess is because of the constant criticism he recieved, while he was mod. If he was still in charge, I would have been toast.
