This is our first real game, we're missing 6-7 of our regular starters and the guys are still struggling for match fitness. There's no need to worry at all considering Inter won this tournament last year...how did that work out for them?
I worded it wrong. Im not saying we will lose the scudetto, but like even though its not the full team, there are problems breaking down the defenses of other teams. Im saying that we should be trying other tactics instead of the same shit over and over again

Are you guys going to be slagging them for missing pens in the tim trophy?! I just don't see how that describes their potential or prospects for the season ahead, at Juve or away.
Nah todays missed penelty misses doesen't matter, they still are mediocre. Nothing new, even if they scored it woulden't change my opinion. They are okey as sub players, nothing more. If we get a good offer then sell them.

Well, considering we were missing our entire creative core, it makes sense that we were having a few problems finding that killer pass. With Pirlo, March, Pogba, it's a totally different game and it elevates the game of Vidal as well. When you have Asamoah playing through the middle as our best creative player, I'm not surprised we weren't seeing a ton of goals.

Its not so much the results. It is more of our in game performances. Things we probably learn in training. Movement, link up play, the 1-2s. I didn't see it with Tevez-Llorente in attack either. They suffered from a problem we had last year too. Nothing to link the mid to them. Sassulo completely outplayed us, even moreso than Milan. You could put that down to enthusiasm, but also the fact that we were making basic mistakes and not showing any signs of new ideas learnt over the past two weeks. Like I mentioned earlier. If you compare this wi our performances in the past tim editions under Conte. You'd find, we may not have won, but we had a flair and signs of what was to come in those matches. Admittedly, we are missing our entire midfield save Vidal and we've got a defense on holiday, so a lot of that will of course make a difference. But we still had the personnel that could and should have taken the game to a team like Sassoulo, not the other way round. Don't care about the result. It was about our overall play that lacked inspiration and technique.

I'm iffy on this. Most of the players on the field during that Sassuolo game are players we've benched constantly, young players, and/or players we've been trying to offload. Matri-Quags were never going to be linking up with beautiful 1-2's and if you expected that, you haven't been watching enough Juve. Asamoah looked like he wanted to go home during that second game and obviously the players from the first game were already tired while Sassuolo was playing their first game of the night. Again, I wouldn't look too much into it.

Close this thread. I prefer seeing "SELL" everywhere than people knee-jerking over a Trofeo TIM performance.

No, seriously. I genuinely think we are an RWF short (considering Pepe still isnt ready) of playing a very strong 433 game. And I would've liked to see some of those ideas implemented in contests like this. We looked completely short of motivation. It's understandable if we aren't there in terms of fitness, but if we aren't there in terms of motivation, it is going to be a sticking point on this team anyway this season, given the amount of domestic success we've had the past two seasons. We may struggle to get off to a head start like we normally do. Maybe I'm being critical, but I really wanted us to show a bit more than we did.

I hate the 3-5-2 so much. Please bring back the 4-3-3 or try a 4-2-3-1. The team are so boring and clueless at times when it comes down to breaking down defences.

Every time Juve's 3 man backline gets transformed into 4-man, they get split open and leak goals like a faucet (see entire Confed Cup, Euro Final vs Spain). They play much better defensively as a 3-5-2 and seeing as we had the second most goals in Serie A last year with the horrible attack we had, I think we'll be just fine once Carlos and Fernando get going. Everyone needs to relax, it was a meaningless friendly.

I would also like to see some versatility in our team when it comes to formations also
