I think he'll accept that paycut, he likes it there and it's not like he won't be earning a million or even two with bonuses a year.

Juventus and Atletico de Madrid have found an agreement for the transfer to the Colchoneros of 29 year old Portuguese midfielder Tiago. Now only the player's signature is missing. The Spanish club president Enrique Cerezo has declared: "We are only waiting for him to decide. We have three alternatives to him, but, for the moment, we keep on following this way".

If the salary is not close to what he earns here, than the leech will not accept it.

It's a matter of money or the love of the game...whatever he chooses will tell you everything you need to know about him as a man and his character.

That seems rather harsh, Mr H...What about Camo? Zebina? Poulsen? Does their continued presence at Juve, when we have tried to offload them, when clubs have come looking for them, tell us everything we need to know about their characters??? I don't think so.

Its more complicated than simply selfish and greedy, for a player to not wish to lose a million EUROS per year through changing clubs. Especially for those players nearing the end of their careers...thinking of their families, their own futures out of the game.

Tiago is more useful than the others I mentioned above. He seems happy in Madrid, and will likely move...but I would not hold it against him, personally, if he came back to us, and rolled the Del Neri dice, to see how he fared in the new look Juve. At least he has, for me anyway, potentially something useful for the team...Poulsen perhaps does also, but a much more diluted potential, as we are well covered with Momo/Melo/Marchisio/Ekdal, in the centre of midfield, or above the defence. Camo/Zebina/Brazzo/Grosso are all, for me, useless now. But I can understand why Camo, for example, would prefer to stay in Turin, on a decent wage, than move to turkey, for half the wage...Its not often you see any players sacrifice themselves in any way, for the love of a club. They are far more generally self centred in their movements, like the majority of human beings in the working world.

I was only talking about Tiago. He is young enough to still have another 4-5 years of good football and he knows that and instead of taking the pay cut to join another club he would rather stay on the Juve bench.

That to me says a lot considering he has not been an option once this preseason. DN has not even mentioned him once that I can recall.

Poulsen refused a move to Turkey which offered more wages than what he is getting here. So I demand you to take him off the list

Good point, Iceman...as Poulsen is likely more moitivated by his scandinavian warrior blood. But then again...we must also consider the quality of the clubs offering contracts, and also the areas they are situated in. Swapping a turn mansion for an istanbul penthouse...I'd stick with Turin. Better women, and the people there are close to me blood wise. Turkey seems the new graveyard for fallen stars, not those still capable of playing at a high level. Though I may be mistaken...

Off the list for Poulsen. i commend him, partly. for sticking to his own demand for success and a decent club.

Its funny you mention that the other day I came across how a lot of german clubs are owned by the fans, like a big stake. Is that true, or is some arsehole on radio having me on?
