Players like these disgust me. Tiago's in his prime years for a footballer and after some horrible years for us he had some good stuff with Atletico and a solid WC, one would think he would chose to further his career and play some football but, noooo...he likes the money he gets here. FFS, it's not like he'd be a peasant on Atletico's wages.

Fucking ballerina.

Juventus Give Tiago More Time To Agree Atletico Madrid Switch

Juventus extend midfielder's holidays...

Tiago did not return to Juventus' training camp yesterday as the Old Lady have given the Portuguese international extra time to negotiate a deal with Atletico Madrid.

Tiago remains hopeful of bringing the transfer to a long awaited conclusion according to mundodeportivo. However if his agent, Jorge Mendes, cannot resolve the issue over the player's wages, Tiago will return to Turin on Monday.

Tiago still has a contract with the Italians until 2012 but has made it clear he wants to sign for Los Colchoneros. The midfielder knew that Atletico could not afford the wages he was on in Turin but did not expect such a drastic drop over the next three years.

Atletico coach Quique Sanchez Flores said of the situation: "From Tiago I have a very good impression, both as a person as a player.

An Atletico technician admitted that economic problems have dogged Tiago's hopes of joining the team, which should be taken care off on Monday. "It is remarkable that we're talking about major players who can come to the team or stay as Tiago. It is remarkable because of the situation that exists in football," admitted the coach.

However Juventus will need to register their players before the qualification rounds of the Europa League on Thursday and might not be able to wait right until the end of the month.

Tiago still hopes that his desire to play in Madrid can be resolved before such a situation occurs.

I'm just waiting for the date when Tiago's contract validity is over so we get rid of this same borig scenario we face every transfer window.

JUVENTUS have offered former Chelsea midfielder Tiago Mendes to Liverpool as a potential replacement for Javier Mascherano.

Reds boss Roy Hodgson is bracing himself for a raid by Inter Milan on his holding midfield star as ex-boss Rafa Benitez attempts to lure him to the San Siro. And Juve have identified the gap the 26-year-old's departure would create as the answer to getting out-of-favour Tiago off their books.

Hodgson does not want to lose Argentina captain Mascherano, who is widely regarded as the best in the game in his position, and will make one last attempt to keep him when they speak for the first time this week.

But all the indications are that he wants out of Anfield and, with no sign of a bid from Barcelona, his preferred destination, a switch to Inter is likely.

That will give Juventus hope of shipping on Tiago, who spent last season on loan with Atletico Madrid.

The Spaniards want him again this season, but only on loan and that does not appeal to Juventus.

Tiago did well at the World Cup for Portugal, but since returning to training Juve coach Luigi Del Neri has told him he does not figure in his plans for the coming season.

The Italians have put a 4.5 million pounds price-tag on the players head, and that figure will be well within Liverpool's range if Inter complete their 20 million pound-plus move for Mascherano.
