"I am very, very happy here and I love playing in Spain, I would like to have more time here. Juventus and Atletico are discussing the details, I just have to wait and see what decisions will be taken. My desire is to remain here. However, I still have two years on my contract with Juve and if an agreement cannot be reached then I must accept it."

So what are the reasons, people, for Tiago's abject failure in a juve shirt??? he was a fine midfielder at Lyon, Chelsea and now atletico madrid...what is it about italian football or perhaps about the juve squad and juve managers he played with and under, which made him fail so miserably in turin???

Playing in a two man centre midfield when he had always impressed in a three.

That and a lack of regular playing time to really bed in.

Red...do you see ANY possible reason whatsoever to keep him? I mean...if he has done well for madrid, and has a decent world cup...but then again, I suppose that Del Neri has no history of deploying a 3 man midfield. We have so many central midfielders presently...Melo, Marchisio, Ekdal, Poulsen, Tiago, Momo.

He play in 2 man center midfield in Atletico. Atletico use 4-4-2, i watch him 3-4 times with Atleti this season, and i can say he play better for them. He is their indirect free kick taker, and the ball distributor for them

He is good for them. But still he don't work hard much i see, and will never suit Italian style of football

Well let's just hope we can get some decent money for him. At least 7m...and if we can't agree on a price, then hope that he has a wonderful world cup and other suitors emerge from the shadows...

Without Tiago, we still seem too heavy in the middle of the park. If Del neri can get momo in a position where his extreme athleticism and dhalsim legs become an asset, then i would be happy to see him stay, along with Marchiso and Melo. As for Poulsen, I am unsure as to how similar a role he plays to Ekdal...though I am near sure that Ekdal is more like Marchisio, as in a box to box midfielder rather than mainly offensive or mainly defensive.

Atletico-Madrid's Prez said to Portuguese media that he wants to keep the same team together and will make an effort to keep Tiago. 8m €.
