Well it's easy to say that Ranieri is dumb because he doesn't play Tiago. Do you guys really think Ranieri doesn't play him for the sake of it?
Nocerino and Zanetti are doing good. Thus CR, acting for the team, prefers to play them, as he feels they're the best choice for CM.
And it seems Tiago isn't that impressive on training. If he was he would leave Ranieri no choice but play him.
And people saying that he was our biggest transfer so he must play:
The money we spent on him is spent, so forget about that. Now he's just a player in the squad, and we don't want him selected over other (in form) players just because we paid more for him, do we?
Economist would call it a sunk cost. If you go to the cinema and after thierty minutes you realise that the film is terrible, what would you do? Stay there and waste another hour and a half 'because you paid for it', or leave and do something more useful (with a chance of selling your ticket for a small price)?
That doesn't mean I want Tiago to be sold, not before he's given a chance to prove himself, but there's no point in playing him just because of his price.
With Nedved being suspended for the next game (and probably more) and neither Camo nor Marchionni fully back yet, I think/hope/wish to see Tiago being played at a more attacking position, in front of Nocerino-Zanetti maybe?
