Tiago's never been a great player, and never will be...we made the mistake of thinking he could run our MF, when all his life he has just been another link in the chain...fuck him, and fuck him hard.
Is that your serious opinion?
Have you ever watched him play while in Braga, Benfica, Chelsea, Lyon, Portugal?

He never was a dominant player. ok good game against north korea but a good game from him comes every 10 games.. he is just average at best most of the time. He was not even a starter at Chelsea, their mid was Makelele, Lampard and Essien wasnt it?

I have zero respect for mourinho as a man, but as a manager, its impossible to blind yourself to his talent. Mourinho used tiago as an integral part of his midfield, when he won the Premiership. I saw much of Tiago in that season, and he was consistently quality. So...next to Lyon...where he did very well, and won the league. Then to us, where he never quite fit, but was far from the only signing we made, who looked a shadow of their former selves at other clubs...Amauri, Poulsen...This last season especially. Our midfield was AWFUL, apart from fopr two matches. Tiago, when he played looked no worse than melo, diego, marchisio...yes the golden boy...Momo..Poulsen...So then he moves to Madrid, takes some time to get his foot in the door of the first team, starts to enjoy his football again, feels happy, shows once again why he has won silverware in Portugal, England, France.

We are the ones losing out on Tiago. And I think its much more to do with the same steady decline of our coaching and fitness standards, which fucked him up in Italy. I mean...look at the literally stunning difference of output of Diego at Juve, and at Bremen. Of course, the leagues are very different, but still, I expected more of him, than I saw this last season. Same for Melo really...he was shocking for us all season. MArchisio was great in brief flashes, nothing more. Momo worse than I have ever seen him...and yet people have the ignorance to avoid all this, and assume rather than Something has been VERY WRONG AT JUVE, leading to our worst season for 50000 years, more likely that Tiago is simply an awful player, who somehow, managed to look good in three other europeans leagues, and even fooled the great Mourinho, argubly the most talented coch in the game...
Mourinho is an amazing coach but i dont think just because tiago played for him it mean tiago is incredible. SWP was bought by Jose, so was Quaresma and Mancini..
Also, Tiago was infact sold by .. Mourinho. He said he was sad to see him go but he did in fact let him go. Regardless he flopped when he played here. And I think the reason for his small fee is because he has a big salary in his contract Atleti would have to take over. So just by getting rid of him we take a huge wage off our books. Sure we could have maybe got some more money but I think the club was just happy to find a buyer so we can focus on bringing in new players while reducing our wage bill of tiago's undeserved salary

I just can't believe how underrated Tiago is around here.
He is not as bad as you guys paint him to be.
Not a world class player a la Xavi, but he's still a very good player.
He was sold by Chelsea because he wasn't garanteed 1st team football (Lampard rarely misses a match), and before he flopped in italian football, he was one of the best box-to-box midfielders in Europe. Specially in his Benfica years, his vision, work rate, passing and shooting were outstanding!
To each his own, I guess..

Either way, my point is that 5.5M is a rip-off. Remember we got him for 14M IIRC. Regardless of his wage, Marotta shouldn't settle for less than 7M€. If Atletico doesn't want him, there's still plenty of time until the end of August to find other suitors in the English/Spanish league.

Also, if you guys think his value has gone down almost 10M€ during his stint in Italy, would you also find acceptable to sell Poulsen for 1/2M€?
Has Juventus become a Charity Foundation?

We are not Inter. We need expert management to look at the books and make proper business in order to keep the club solid financially.

He didn't adapt to Italy. He should go.
But not for peanuts!

Not a first team player but played 34 matches for one season there under Mourinho. What a bench player got to played that much. And who is his coach there, MOURINHO. You know Mourinho doesn't like a lazy and stupid player but he trust Tiago much so it explain much. He played for Lyon and brought them 2 championship..

He simply doesn't fit in Juve and Serie A. he should been sold but like Kronik said don't give him for peanuts

I have never said he is an incredible player. I was pointing out, that he has been a decent player elsewhere, both before and after his time at Juventus....Tiago was a MAINSTAY of the Mourinho midfield until Essien took over. He was not a flop like Mancini or Quaresma.

Yes, for him to get off the wage bill, when he doesn't want to play here, its perfect for us. Agreed. But, its impossible for me to respect anyone who sees his career as total failure...because they clearly don't understand football, or have never seen him play anywhere but for Juve during the beginning and then realized, darkest period of our history.

MOURINHO, like all men, loves a blowjob, that's why Tiago got so many games under him at Chelsea.
Seriously...does it not make you feel like a spastic kid in the playground, when you spend your whole day writing gay 'jokes' on an internet forum about football???

I have nothing against gays, but to read MEN writing like children who think its funny to even use the word Gay, is irritating, especially when i have to wade through this shit, in almost every single fucking thread, to get to some decent football banter...
