Barcelona defender Lilian Thuram has blasted his former club Juventus for their off-field behaviour which led to his two Serie A title-winning medals being declared void.

The France international was part of the Juve side which won the Scudetto in 2005 and 2006, but had them revoked after being found guilty of match-fixing.

Thuram, who moved to Barcelona after the guilty verdict was announced last month, says he feels let down by the Turin club and believes they deserve to be punished.

"I don't feel guilty myself because I have given my all in Turin for five years and sometimes we won, and sometimes we lost," the 34-year-old told Spain's El Pais.

"But if after these sacrifices you discover that other people were doing things to ensure we won every time, it disgusts you.

"Football needs to send out a positive message, but this one was negative, giving the game a dirty image.

"That is why it is right to give Juve a heavy punishment. It may be painful for the players and fans, but it is right for the good of football
."

as i posted on another thread relating to a newspaper headline with this, this makes thuram different to canna etc.. who left as thuram was the only 1 that didnt recognise how we won the title on the pitch, its a little ironic he didnt mention the other clubs involved, but im very dissapointed in big lil, who im now calling big d*ck, he knows nothing about the case, only what the biased newspapers publish.

i hope he rots in barca.

lilian ... lilian
and to think that you were our captain .... what a disgrace

its a shame that he is not confidant of his ability and the teams ability to win all of these matches.
