For those who argued Thuram was sold before he wanted to leave:

Juventus defender Lilian Thuram has stated he refuses to play in Serie B next season and would be happy with a move to Barcelona.

The 34-year-old France defender has been at the Stadio Delle Alpi for five seasons, but following the Bianconeri's punishment for match-fixing now feels ready to leave.

The Old Lady were relegated and received a 30-point deduction after being found guilty at the trial in Rome, and Thuram is one of a number of the club's stars now looking for new employers.

"There are really few possibilities I will play in Serie B next season," Thuram explained.

"For the moment I haven't discussed a lot with the club, but meanwhile I hope to find a club to remain in [Serie] A."

Last season's Serie A champions were stripped of their last two league titles following the verdict on Friday, and though an appeal has been launched, the vultures are already swooping for their talent.

Thuram himself has been linked with a move to the UEFA Champions League holders, and the veteran would be more than happy with a move to La Liga.

"We will see. Anyway should it be Barcelona this is a good destination," Thuram added.

Sure, that Thuram is such a great guy. "Juventus who," "I'm not staying in Serie B," all during the World Cup and being on the payroll. Lets support him!
THIS is what you find terrible?

You know that they play pro football these days, right?

It's ridiculous to insult Thuram over things like these. Just like it's ridiculous to insult Zambrotta. If anything they were USED by a CRIMINAL Juventus board. Calciopoli might have been a farce, but that Juventus board was never right.

Just to clear things up, Trezeguet did not want to leave, but had to because the stupid board decided to present him with a new contract that was simply unacceptable for the player he is. That's why Bettega had to come in and rescue the situation.

Thuram was still technically assistant captain when he came out to say these various things, along with being on the payroll. If I were to show up to work and say, "Company who", while under payroll, that wouldn't be very smart, would it? They pay my fucking wages for Christ's sake. So, the answer to Thuram is, "Juventus, the team that pays your wages."

It doesn't matter if he was "betrayed", something that is up in the air anyway, nor does it matter if he wanted to find alternative employment. What does matter is the fashion he presented his views to his current employer, Juventus, and the people who pay his salaries, the club and supporters, something that would get him fired if this was anywhere but a major football club and if Thuram was anybody but a professional player.

But of course, football players will get all the fellatio they need from people such as Osman for this crap to continue.

I'm pretty sure Trezeguet also wanted to leave when we were relegated.

The incident you mention was the summer after being promoted.

You're right, it was. I forgot he did that 15 waive against Spezia.

But I don't remember Trezeguet coming out to say he wanted to leave like some other players.

And he surely did not act like some other players if he did want to leave.

He conducted himself reasonably well as I recall, but there was so much going on at that time that I truggle to remember who said what or how much of what the Press reported was actually true.

"“La Juventus? Chi? Che cos’è? Per adesso penso solo alla Francia e ai mondiali."

Notice how that last phrase is important, Andy? And you know, before you judge Moggi and before you say that Moggi did not taint the club's image badly enough for players to want to leave, you really, really, really ought to be able to understand what the fuck Moggi's saying.

Seriously, you act as if you know everything, as if you know what all the protagonists said and you talk down to me, while I'm the one who actually speaks the language they speak. Fucking retarded.

Is that all Thuram said? Which he has been crucified for?

First it was for wanting to leave Serie B, when we established almost all of them wanted to, and for players looking after their future, its understandable, then it is said its ok. But Thuram is being singled out for BS apparently. and the BS he is has gotten hate for all these years is that quote? Thats all?

"“La Juventus? Chi? Che cos’è? Per adesso penso solo alla Francia e ai mondiali."
So it was just saying he wanted to focus on France and the World Cup?

Sounds like a lot of folk have been taken in by a sensationalist headline or two, then.
