Gray, did you know that Rugby, which is the grandfather of American football, was actually invented by a disgruntled English football (soccer) player who was tired of not being able to use his hands, so he picked the ball up and ran with it?

And that American Football, up until the turn of the century, was very, very similar to Rugby

The problem with that theory though, is that Webb was around in the 1820's and Association Football, or Soccer, wasn't developed in its organized state until 40 years later.

So who actually knows for sure. I heard that the player who had done that (picking up the ball and running with it) did so in the mid 1860's.

There are so many theories.

Just like the one here in the States that Abner Doubleday invented baseball in the 1840's, when there is documented proof in historical town charters that the sport was played 60-70 years before that.

Who actually invented our Football Sergio?
Walter Camp is known as the Father of Modern Football, he was a student at Yale university, and he pioneered the game along with some fellow students from Harvard.

God bless the Ivy League.

There we go. Yeah I heard that Ivy League schools had some part in it.

So much for calling our football a "dumb" sport. :D

Sergio, did you know that Masturbation, which is the grandfather of Sexual Intercourse, was actually invented by a disgruntled Australian of Korean descent who was tired of not being able to use his hands, so he rented a gorilla costume and he flogged his dong?
