The thing is I'm not so sure it's a good idea to have a really powerful cpu in a small laptop like this. At work they gave me a Sony Vaio with similar specs but also a 2Ghz+ cpu and I don't think it was really meant for this. If you touch the keyboard the cpu fans starts blazing and I bet the battery life goes to hell.

Martin, if there was one product brand I would endorse it is Lenovo and its Thinkpad series. But the Thinkpad Edge is just one step above a netbook compared to the other models of thinkpads. Its definitely not worth the money in terms of a powerful/durable thinkpad. You can get a wonderfully versatile/powerful ASUS for same or less price than the Edge.

You must have purchased the oral sex add-on.
the oral sex add-on? i take it you mean that the call centre is full of males more than happy to oblige but they are fucking useless at it and the few women that work there are so few you would be as well buying a fleshlight and taking a bath?

As an insider, I approve of this.

Though I was not one of those males.

Aight, recommend a thinkpad that you think is worth getting? Preferably small/battery life over performance.

(Or other manufacturer/model along the same lines.)

The best way to find out is to search for the Edge on amazon and then it will suggest other laptops which other consumers went ahead with instead of the Edge. Most online reviews tell you whats wrong with the product but don't suggest relevant alternatives along with it which leaves you wondering what to do.

Get an Acer, best value for the money. I've had a lot of them and never had any problems.
