I would put 70 percent of the blame on Motta. When every single player is clueless on the pitch, it's mostly due to poor coaching.

The rest 30 percent is on Giuntoli for shit signings.

But hey, Giuntoli brought in Motta (I won't even mention he also hired a new medical group iirc). And before that, MGMT brought in Giuntoli.

So they all need to GTFO.

Motta:"I self-reflect every day, and I don't need a defeat to do so. I respect everyone's opinion, but I keep moving forward because I know we're on the right path.I am not concerned by any outside noise."
Why would anyone even say such a thing?

The very least he could do would be owning up to his mistakes. But even that is too much to ask for, apparently.

How are we on the right track? We are performing worse than any of our previous 13 seasons ffs
With almost everyone underperforming, while basically devaluing each and every player in the process, in a tactical system that is sterile and regularly gets exposed for its weaknesses, yet he has the guts to talk about progress or being on the right track lol

it could only get better. or at least it can't get any worse. roma are on the roll, we'll play them in like 2 weeks, they can easily catch us up if this pussy "we're a young team, let us grow" mentality remains

do it

Dont think his Bologna sides are "old" and experienced too, it seems they are young and probably just more hungry than our current squad, or maybe just a less pressure environment, but the last 3 matches from him against Atalanta before he joined us they win 0-2, 1-0 and 1-2, they even can react well after they conceded first. Even his inexperience and low table Spezia days that count as disaster can give at least some "fight" based on the scoreline. I know different years/ different players, but Atalanta seems to play ths system for years under Gasperini

Seems that he should play 4-3-3 / 4-1-4-1 why insist to play 4-2-3-1 if we dont have the right personel for that approach, like I put in the transfer thread we dont have players that capable to give that passing, if we count the ratio key passes/90mins both top 2 of ours are Yildiz and Koop got around 1.5 key passes/90m. This is far from the like of natural AMC players, that can get 2,5-3 key passes per90 mins

He should have been fired when the incredible game in Leipzig didn't lead to an extended winning streak.

We lost our best player (Bremer) but on paper we have more than enough to challenge for the scudetto. Motta has never been able to get the best out of these players and he never will.

the problem is definitely not about formation, its mentality problem and maybe fitness too. The change is a must unfortunately and ive been rooting for this guy for long, but it has to be stopped or else we will not even finish in top 4.
Some of the players are currently looking like they have never looked in their entire career, something went wrong with his coaching methods.
Atalanta wasnt even playing game of their life yesterday yet they have beaten us so easily. There is no fight and spirit in this team and he says we are young, damn even if you are young, at least try to do something.
He was of course outsmarted by Gasperini too, who put a guy which put pressure on Cambiaso all the time, but it wouldnt hurt us that much if the other side would be a capable of anything.
