Thiago Motta: "We’re fully aware of the situation and confident in our ability to respond, as we’ve shown in the past.So no reason for any kneejerk reaction."
The knee-jerk would be if he was sacked for a first defeat. The issue for him is that it stops becoming knee-jerk when you factor in how few points we have, the number of dropped points from winning positions, the lack of progress, the lack of playing style, the money spent on the team, the underperforming players.

There was this moment where Politano won the ball during the last 10 minutes, when he cheered and got cramps. That moment was very telling. He isnt even one of the most talented footballers if you ask me. It shows though that tactics or quality can bring you only so far, if you have a coach like Conte who brings that fire in a team you’ll always have the advantage. We are mentally so weak compared to them, add bad rotational decisions of Motta in the mix and you find your answers of why our results are so bad.

I think for the next profile we should look into a motivator. Preferably someone who like attacking football but I’d define that as a secondary characteristic for now.

This isn’t sustainable and although I’m more on the ‘giving time’ mentality, he’s on his way out if we continue like this obviously. Winning is a anomaly now.

Had almost full squad available today.

Had 2 new signings available today.

Had 7 months to organize the team.

And here we are without a basic gameplan, making a shot on goal per game, playing anemic football and lacking basic leadership.
