I don't know if Mottism ever included a 3 man defence but we have a lot of ingredients for it. Since we have no RB, Weah suits a right wing back better and Cambiado as LWB. Then Yildiz can play closer to Vlahovic and Koop/Chico on the other side.

Also Cabal and Danilo are neither fullbacks nor CBs they're more like 3 man CBs at this point.
Here we go again.

I thought about this too, but right now it’s better to stick with his current tactics/formation because that’s what team has been training with.

I’d say only modifications he needs to make is stop trying to force the fullback to come inside. To play cm. It leaves the wingers yildiz and Chico isolated which means little threat from wings. It’s better for fullbacks to push forwards wide to give the wingers more support and allow both the wingers also chance to cut inside. And also allows the midfielders to run into box for more support.

Every time the fullbacks push wide for support the team looks dangerous. Not sure why this can’t be used all the time

You make some good points but you're missing the bigger picture.

Far from ideal situation atm. After getting outplayed by Stuttgard at home we are playing inter away with several players out due to injuries. These sort of games are where coaches experience makes a difference. I'd be suprised if we avoid a loss there. However, the season is long and we are still at the beginning so we will need to be very patient.

Full faith in Motta even if we lose this one

No Bremer, Koop, Gatti, Yildiz, Nico Gonzalez, almost half our starting eleven and it took two ridiculous gifts from our defenders for Inter to take the lead

We need to keep pushing and creating chances and eventually we are gonna start winning these type of close games.

Hardly has to do with a coach. Both Danilo and Kalulu had a brainfart. Sadly with Bemer out and Gati barely recovered, we are out of options.
