Yes, I’m quite disappointed by your pessimism. You were one of my favorite Tuz posters before you started your crusade against Giuntoli.
I am sorry to hear that. But I am extremely disappointed with Junktoli his plan, or lack of a plan. And also I don't buy the argument of having to wait to judge him, some things are quite obvious already.

When Klopp joined Liverpool, he had quite a poor first season, but he had got them playing his heavy metal football. Then they started getting those players for his system and they started to develop rapidly. They won CL and EPL and now are easily one of the best teams in Europe. They lost Mane to Bayern but have Diaz, Nunez is a bit sketchy but he's not handicapping the team, and even changing managers hasn't slowed them much.

Give Motta a season to set our style, then give him a season with the players he really wants. That doesn't mean give him a blank cheque, it could be that we upgrade some weak spots like Danilo for Skriniar or Vlahovic for David etc.

Liverpool swapping Karius for Allison had a huge impact for them, but it was a very focused move by Klopp as opposed to buying half a new team.

Nico 38m
Luiz 50m
Koop 60m
Gargoyle 25m
Djalo 5m
Cabal 12m

Total 190m
Damn, if you add Thuram, Kalulu and some youngsters, we might have even spent 250 million. The coach got what he wanted abundantly.

It's even more serious then I thought.

With quarter billion we should be out there dominating the league and CL.

Is it an assumption that Thiago Motta wanted all of these players? Maybe some players like Koopmeiners, nico etc. were considered fundamental by Motta for the team.

Kean, Rabiot and Chiesa in combination with much better players payed with those 200 million. We squandered those 200 million.
Again I have to say that he doesn't excel in anything. Also he needs 7-8 clear chances to score.

He can be a 3rd choice forward for us and that's it.

Sleepy Rabiot wouldn't do shit, because he is shit. There is absolutely nothing of value that he would've contributed to us, especially not for €7M-10M/year.

But now we're moving from players we already had to saying "if we had a new squad we'd be better." Which...yeah. But the point is, as it stands, we do not have a top 8 squad and wouldn't even with those three players we let go.
