I think it's time to accept that our team isn't good enough. We can't keep blaming the manager. The reason we were successful last time was because we had Marotta. It's becoming increasingly obvious.
We've been in that time zone for years now. We clearly have much more talent upfront than before but Conceicao is injured and Vlahovic is not helping in any way. Even having Milik fit would be of help now imo...

Thinking about it definitely makes me long and hard. :klin:

Only need Motta to come out and say that football is art not science and his transformation will be complete.

How quickly some go from throating Max to throating Motta :disagree: At least act like you are heartbroken for a few weeks into the season.
Don’t worry. I’m still throating Max while I stroke Motta. Definitely down for a little spit roast between these two gods.

I see our short passing on the ground looks better, esp in the build up phase to help maintain possession. Maybe it's his "keep the ball on the feet and recover the ball once you lose it" philosophy starts to work out.

But tactically there seems to be nothing substantial yet to create the team's identity. People are blaming the system but what is our system lol? Or are we complaining because of lacking of it?

Also it seems he is trying to create a new MottaBall rather than simply transiting his ideas at Bologna all into JJ.

Anyway, I have patience.
I had a dream of you and Motta last night. You were traveling on Titanic through Sahara desert and you hit an iceberg of course.

And Motta asked: "The fuck is an iceberg doing in a desert?"

And you answered: "The fuck is Cambiasso doing at DM?"

We went from jihadball 3-5-2 hybrid that disguises in a 4-4-2 in possession to deploying mottaball 4-2-3-1 hybrid that morphs into an 3-3-1-3(or whatever that confusing mix is supposed to be)… and the effect is that we are on the third 0:0 in a row in the league, worst than even under Allegri, but nothing to worry about ok.

Inb4 everyone blames the current lack of goals only on Vlahovic being wasteful, he was the ST here in the last couple of seasons too.

changing game plan takes time, im calm and im sure we will be great in coming matches.
We've seen glimpses of his vision and I love it, including smashing PSV in the champions league.

Either

-Serie A defending is back to the 80s heyday and we don't give it enough credit
-The players aren't taking Serie A seriously and aren't trying
-Teams in Italy do more research on us and know how to stifle us, which is why we've not scored in three games after coming out strong.

We struggle to break down park the bus teams, if we were given any space then we would've won. Conte executed his gameplan perfectly.

We need better attack output from the midfield. We need a Vlahovic replacement on rotation, this Fiorentina bum can't be out attack focal point because he isn't good enough.

I'm still confident with Motta, we look way better than last year. Our squad is clearly upgraded and I'm not missing any of Chiesa, Kean, Rabiot, etc.

Despite some both promising but also worrying signs he still has plenty of time to turn things around and would be completely silly for the fanbase to already turn on him based on such a small sample size, just needs to slowly ease in all his ideas and experiments and not try too many of them at once, he is being too bold at times with his choices and not all of them have paid off as a result, nonetheless things need to start improving much sooner rather than later.

5 league games in.... I didnt expect him to hit the ground running considering so many changes. It's not only players but our playing style as well. To implement his ideas, for players to accept his methods, I would say 15 games minimum, maybe more are required. If for the past several years you have been shouted different instructions, well that will stick for a while. #Mottaball #Patience #Believe

Also for older generation, when we brought back Lippi and made several big changes over the summer, Zidane out, Neved in, it took us 3-4 months to start getting results. We were trailing 10 pts behind Inter and Roma in January.

These are the main points imo. Consistency is the issue across the board. Quality and Motta's ideas are not, broadly speaking.

Vaciago in Tuttosport: "Juve are slow and steady they don't concede goals but they don't score any either. It's not going badly, but they're not doing well either, despite the extenuating circumstances of the beginning of the season. It would be unfair to blame Vlahovic : he didn't do much to get into the game, but Juventus built little. They had one clear cut chance in the entire game."

We're really cursed, when Marrotta was in the charge, we wished to bring Moggi back.

Not many expected that Douglas Luiz and Danilo will be benched this hard. Then there is Arthur Melo who's not even considered for the bench.
Does Motta hate his former countrymen? Should Bremer be worried?

Perhaps it's not about nationality but hamsumness. Bremer is an 8 whereas the other three all below 5. :agree:

Might cut Danilo some slack though.
