Same old story this season, we get a positive result and we follow it up with a poor performance.

One shot on target in the entire game and it is a long shot on 85 mins. We can't keep playing side to side and not try anything different.
Shocking to shoot once on target in entire match. We played against Brugges ffs. We look clueless in the final 3rd. No one is willing to take some risk.

It seems like he prizes possession above all else. That's why we're not taking risks and instead are sticking with easy passes.

That's cool and good if it's an open game. But we don't have the players to pass or dribble the ball through locked defenses. He needs to provide the plan. If he can't he needs to leave.

He can't. He needs to leave.

I think we have a problem where we have a Sporting Director and a Manager who seem absolutely blinkered to all options once they get their mind set on something.

Toli has shown that where he chased Koop and Todibo all summer, willing to pay whatever was needed and ignore all options, including Huijsen as an alternative once it was clear we wouldn't get Calafiori because he had his head set on selling him.

We also have Motta who seem set on one single tactic, no matter what players are available. Even his substitutions tonight, you could tell they were thought out before the game and he made no consideration that Mbangula was the one player causing problems tonight and should have stayed on.
