I'm currently working on a paper on Bush's Healthy Forests Initiative. It was about 25 pages long but I found out that the professor wants them at most six pages. So Im left condensing and reworking it a little. Anyway Im having a serious brain fart right now. I need a good word for thing. As in Bush's plan originally did three major things... these things were. blah, blah and blah. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Goals sound so wrong, its almost saying his aim was to fuck up and he reached his goal of fucking up? I am pretty sure thats not what you want, totally changing the meaning of what you are describing hehe.

I actually wasnt talking about the policy. I was speaking to the underlying goals left in the wake of the wordage of the legislation. Here is what I actually said.

When originally announced by Presidents Bush in 2003, the Healthy Forests Initiative was met with much opposition from the environmental community. The plan had three major goals according to environmentalists. Those goals were to speed up logging in the name of fire prevention and minimize or eliminate the analyses of such projects' effect on wildlife or the landscape. And finally to eliminate procedural safeguards that provide a check against logging promotion by the Forest Service.

I more or less paraphrased in my example. I really only need a word.
