I don't think Olic is that bad. He's better than Brian Ching, so send him here.
Like I said, he's improved but he still misses sitters constantly. His only real quality is speed and his work-rate. He can't pass, he can't dribble and his finishing is IMO below average. I hate forwards that "work hard", I wan't them to score goals or help create them. Olic scores 1 out of 7 chances and creates even less.

Don't know much about Ching, I can only imagine what he's like. :D

Sometimes its really frustrating to watch Olic. If only he knew how to use his speed...

Pepe- I don't know what he has done to get called-up,horrible player IMO.Can't score. The Molinaro of the strikers.

Materazzi- I think he needs no introduction.I think that his NT career is over.Thank god.Gotta give him credit for the WC 2006 though.

Barzagli- He's worse than Materazzi and is the most overrated defender of the past 50 years.Italian Boumsong.

Panucci- Scores a goal every now and then but shouldn't be called up and should make way for the young guns.

I think in the case of Malta it would be more appropriate to mention the players which haven't been an absolute disgrace. Most of the starting 11 play in the Maltese league, a league which the last three winners happened to have the same president, at 2 different clubs.

We have a couple of ok players but in general we're shite.
We did beat Liechtenstein like 7-1 last year :D

David Weir - I f he was any slower, he would be going backwards.

Graham Alexander - Always been shite and for some reason it has been decided that, at 35, he is suddenly good enough for international football.

Chris Iwelumo - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=RqkShPKgAbw

Thats the worst of the current bunch, too many to list from the past.

Robert Kovac - Legrotaglie of the old, completelly unreliable and I never thought he was much good before either, was as always average.
You remember when our commentators, led by Ciro Blazevic, called him the best CB in the world some 4-5 years ago :dielaugh:

Hmm, he's probably better than most of the "worst NT players" mentioned in this topic but he's not good imo as many think of him.
Granted, he has the bad luck to play in the same attack that was once represented by Davor Šuker, Alen Bokšić and now Eduardo, so he looks awful when you make a comparison with these guys.
He's a player that is very hard to define. He's not a striker because he doesn't have the instinct for goal, he's not a support striker because he lacks the vision and the technique to create and score, he's fast but he's not a winger and he certainly isn't a playmaker.
He's just a guy who can run fast.

I agree with you when you are comparing Olic to these players above, but I think one can easily find the worse player than him in current Croatian NT
