Without trying to get into the discussion about who was better (or in this case worse) between Tiago and Molinaro, it's fair to mention some of Molinaro's achievements too.

Molinaro is team's leader in intercepted passes and he's second placed in Juve in couple of cattegories :

1. Passes completed (only Zanetti has more passes completed than Molinaro)
2. Won tackles (again Zanetti is the only one in Juve who's better than Molinaro)

He's third placed in "successfull crosses" cattegory, behind Del Piero and Camoranesi, he's third placed behind Chiellini and Legrotagllie in "clearings" cattegory ( i'm still not sure what "clearings" means ) and he's third placed, behind Nedved and Del Piero in "won corners".

Top3 in 6 cattegories must mean something.

Nocerino, on the other hand, is in top3 in:
1. Yellow cards (team's leader)
2. Lost balls (second after Zanetti)
3. Fouls committed (second after Del Piero)
I didnt know del piero was this tough :p haha...

I already answered this question for like 30 times :)

You can check (almost) all the statistics for serie A here http://sport.alice.it/it/calcio/serie_a/statistiche/

For the ones missing here you can check Yahoo fantasy games. They have even more statistics.

Tomorrow i'll write the complete team and player stats for 2007/08 season in serie A topic

All right, with my limited knowledge of Italian, I found out, that Molinaro has the worst succeful pass % of all three contenders for the award. That's all I managed, though, as I'm lost in Yahoo fantasy games

Well, I voted for Nocerino. While Molinaro I believe cost us more points, he also contributed in positive ways more than Nocerino ever did. The decider was that Nocerino was ultimately a bigger waste of a position than Molinaro was this season.

Yes, Molinaro is not a great passer, that's not something new.
In % he's among the worst in our team, with 72% of his passes completed. (the worst one is Iaquinta with 66%).
But even Del Piero has 75% for example.

Attackers and attacking midfielders can never have high percentage passing.
Tell that to Trez. He always has the highest or among the highest percentage passing :D

I agree though. But then again, neither fullbacks have high percentage. If it's crossing then ok, but high percantage in passing is usually reserved for the centre back duo and for the central midfield players.

Guess which one from our CB'S and CM's has the lowest percentage ?
Nocerino, of course :D

True, because they're the ones supposed to take risks. Considering that, Tiago's 80% is very solid. However, Molinaro's 72%, with his main job of passing the ball to the midfielders is kinda scary.

It was always going to be a close race between Noce and Molinaro :D

Andy, cut the crap. Tiago was one big load of shite. Stop making excuses for him. At least Molinaro offered something in attack throughout the whole season. Tiago was always a ghost on the pitch. I'm tired of that player who gets so much defending after being completely worthless for us.
Molinaro offered less in attack than me fucking standing 15 rows up behind the opposition's keeper yelling various obscenities about his mother. The player did nothing for us going forward, with the only real threat posed to anybody at the match was directed at a steward or fan not paying attention to the game in the form of Molinaro's poor excuses for crosses. So you cut the crap, son.

You were the one who stated Molinaro is better than Balzaretti, so you can't be taken seriously here in this discussion.

I'm sure you know this Allen, but it's much more difficult passing the ball in the center of the pitch where you're subject to opposition from 360 degrees. This is opposed to being a left-back, only having to worry about what's in front of your own eyes.

This is where statistics are major liars.

Molinaro got his place and nobody managed to kick him out of his spot, even though there were available options (Chiellini, Brazzo, Grygera).
Chiellini was playing as centerback 99% of the season. Grygera even displaced Molinaro and scored a goal. Brazzo was too busy being used in midfield. You argument is bullshit dude and you know it.

Tiago had several players for competition and they all managed to stop him from playing. That says it all how garbage Tiago was.
Funny thing is, Tiago had more assists than everybody competing for places with him, minus Zanetti.

That, along with the fact that Tiago only played a few matches, says how much garbage your argument is.

Tiago does NOTHING positive.
I'd say four assists in about 8 starts is pretty positive. Perhaps we're just not used to people who can actually pass the ball, so I'll excuse it.

If someone asked me what was my rating of Tiago's season, I'd say one big ZERO. The guy managed to enter into Juve's top 10 flops of all time and the biggest flop of the Serie A. :lol2: If that's not pathetic, I don't know what is.

End of discussion.
What are you? An American? Lets use what the media tells us to evaluate a player!

Too bad that's what people usually do, because that's why I can write bogus news articles and have half of you believe that they're true.
