I didn't have sound on because i'm at work, but I guess that the graph doesn't take inflation in the equation? Then this income growth shown doesn't look so impressive considering some countries almost havent moved up the ladder at all in this regard.

But I'm not so sure I learned anything school-useful here. We basically took five minutes to read a three-dimensional chart here that presents some information in an interesting way. But is that actual learning? I don't think I came away knowing anything more than I did before the video.
That said, the presentation style is great. It even makes you feel you're learning more than you actually are.
And to Martin's original point, it's a nice counterbalance to "the world is going to hell" everyday bandwagon.
