Instead of that, screw Bastos and just go for the 4-3-3. Use the 15M for Bastos for another good CM like Inler.

No, he is not good enough to start if we want to improve. We need a real regista or a box to box midfielder like Inler, who is not invisible.

So you prefer Marchisio a little deeper than in a straight 4-4-2 midfield?

To be honest, the central midfield roles in the 4-2-3-1 and 4-4-2 are very similar. Marchisio would have to do basically the same stuff in both midfields, so that's why I didn't get your post.

We have already seen that Melo-Marchisio does not work as our CM in a 4-4-2. We need a regista to play with Melo, and not a lazy, weak one like Aquilani.

Ok maybe it makes no sense lol, I did throw in Pirlo's name in there too. I just want Marchs to start and the 4-4-2 with Melo didn't work. I was hoping a 4-2-3-1 with a different configuration in front of Melo-Marchs would yield better results.
