Two questions.

(1) I was reading on a different forum about Adebayor perhaps being available for fairly cheap -- £8m. Wouldn't we do that? I understand the guy has major baggage, but, this is still a guy who gets inserted into a UCL semi when his team needs goals desperately. And Clough said, if you find a guy whose value has dropped due to behavior issues, you take that as a bargain.

(2) Any chance we land Hazard at some point? "Faster than Zidane, more technical ability than Henry. Possibly the greatest talent in Europe right now." Gulp. Sadly whenever I hear things like this about a player I now think "won't come here." I find that really depressing, that I think like that now.

Enersto Bronzetti on Amauri: "I think he'll remain in Juventus"
If that means we don't pay for Quags and/ore Matri I'm ok with that. I don't want to dis those guys, they are productive, but I just don't see them getting us where we need to be and would rather stop investing in them.

Sconcerti on SS24: Mazzarri has agreed with Juventus, only thing that can save Delneri is fourth-position.
Hopefully this is one of those Italian media "almost facts."

I'm no fan of Matri and Quag taking us were we need to go, but you would not pay for them and settle with a striker who went goalless for a year with us?

And yeah, it would be great if we could get Adebayor, he is better then what we have, and sadly enough, what we realistically can get it seems.

Now take a look at this.

Berlusconi: "Either Ganso or Lamela will come this summer. I will return to my lavish ways this summer, to give another gift or two to the fans. Galliani will make the decisions."

Galliani: "Ganso is navigating in Red & Black waters. Pato is sure already of him coming this summer.

Mexes has signed for four years while Taiwo has signed for three years with Milan.

I don't want to be tagged as a Iaquinta fan lol but I do think that guy can be productive, especially if we shore up the MF. With this MF I'm not sure we really get a great look at STs. With Quags and Matri, that would cost us £26m or something? Spread out over time I think but that's not chump change. You could get maybe one world class talent for that kind of money. I'd rather do that. If we could get away with it, I'd rather save the money and look around once we're back in UCL. Don't know if we can get away with that though. This position scares me.

And yeah, it would be great if we could get Adebayor, he is better then what we have, and sadly enough, what we realistically can get it seems.
Especially if this guy is an option I say ditch Quags and Matri. If Adebayor is not an option then my brain hurts and I'm hoping to read creativity out of posters in this thread.

That just shows u that Galliani and Berlusconi are light years ahead of Marotta and Agnelli.

Mexes and Taiwo. Nice signings, Milan move very well on the market. Unfortunatelly we need more quality than those two have and we'll end up with less quality (paying more money for the crap) afterall.

You guys surely can't be serious in thinking Del Neri is better than Mazzarri.
He isn't. But do you really want another revolution for another average coach who uses an outdated tactic?

Thanks for stating the obvious. Light years ahead in personal wealth, influence, experience, and with the attractiveness of a certain scudetto and CL football.

And this is exactly why we shouldn't be looking at who Milan sign, not relevant to us.

As for Taiwo, meh. Mexes was never coming here.

18 mln is waaaay too much :agree:
£2 more than Aquilani? 60% the cost of Matri/Quags? Maybe I'm overrating the guy, he is Brazilian, but I really like the idea of having that guy, looking at our left. I also think we need to overpay to bring a guy here right now. We need to make UCL, and this can help us get there.
