We can. But will we? Anyway, send Aqua back. I agree. Montolivo's gonna be his replacement. They're pretty much the same article.
i dont think montolivio is a bad player for that price if its indeed 5-6 mil plus martinez..i just cant rate martinez that highly...monto can sit his ass on the bench and we can get a 'WC' CM.

but i think its still silly to be throwing around names when the coach is undecided..especially since one of the names is mazzari whose preferred formation calls for quite an overhaul of personnel

The problem isn't right now if we overspend, it's the comming years the problems will surface.

Lets say we buy players for €100M. Those players gets 4 year contracts. That will have a negative effect of our finances of €25M every year for those 4 years. On top of that, there is all the other players we're still paying for. That combined will mean we won't be able to reach UEFA's break-even rule in the future, and then we won't be able to play in europe.
It doesn't matter what Juventus is paying right now for players purchased before, because only transfers from the coming summer will be taken into account. I actually did not understand how you came up with 25 million every year. Is it wages or installments? Anyway, only teams which make to the UEFA competition have to comply with these rules. If Juventus doesn't this year, they can do pretty much anything (except for wages) and buy anything as the monitor for Juventus will start only when it qualifies for UEFA competition.

@ mukumspelau- The board should know by now who the coach is gonna be. Or at least who they want him to be and the players he wants, so the may have started negotiations for players already.

Some of the names with which we are linked are really depressing(Mazzari, Pazienza, Montolivo, Pirlo). And the worst part is that after every transfer window, we end up with these people.

When you buy players for €100M you depreciate that value linearly with their contract periode. In my example it was 4 years, hence €25M every year. That, ofcourse, is without considering wages.

It's the same thing with the players we bought 2-3 years ago, like Melo, Diego etc. We're still paying those installments aswell, and if you add that up with the €25M a year mentioned above, we have no chance of meating UEFA's break-even rule.

Enersto Bronzetti on Amauri: "I think he'll remain in Juventus"

Sconcerti on SS24: Mazzarri has agreed with Juventus, only thing that can save Delneri is fourth-position.

Let's get 4th spot then. I'd rather get humiliated in the CL and get the CL cash than having no CL and having this other clown.

We can get 4th spot with lots of luck.
