so you actually think mazzari would lead us to success with a team that has less quality than that of his current napoli side? yet has done nothing with his career up till now. Yes epic fail logic there.
In life, there are no guarantees. The only valid truths are that we are born, and we die. Hence, everything you are proposing is hypothetical at best. Mazzari is unlikely to lead us to success, nor is any other manager for that matter, with that mediocre squad of ours. However, Dortmund were not expected to be competing for the Bundesliga title this year with such a young squad, Lazio and Udinese were not supposed to be vying for a CL spot, and most definitely Bayern weren't expected to be struggling as they are now with the squad of household names they posses.

No way is Napoli's squad better than ours. Take Lavezzi, cavani, Hamsik and Maggio out - the rest could easily play in teams who are fighting to avoid relegation.

Honestly, whats this hoopla with Mazzari? I know Mancini isnt all that, but IMO he is descredited quite a bit for being in a hated rivalling Inter that would auto win most decent/good coaches. But the fact is, despite it all, in Viola, Lazio and even City right now, IMO he shown more arsenal in his coaching then Mazzari has, same Mazzari who allways plays hardworking rigid 3-5-2 wether he is at Livorno, Reggina, Samp and now Napoli (the difference in his makeup been his players, and the reason he is doing so well Napoli is quality attacking players and a weak league with lack of competition). I defenitely would rather see Mancini coaching us then Mazzari.

You name it. His tactics, getting the best out of the players, his game changing subs, winning mentality. Besides all the BS around Mancini's trophies, there's really nothing that meets the eyes.
You could have said that about Del Neri last season. I don't know how you can talk about winning mentallity, when Scudetto talk got serious at Napoli, the pressure got to them and they tanked, with a better squad in many areas than ours. We bitched about Ranieri always being an "almost there" guy, Mazarri would be another one like that.

Exactly. I read the same exact thing about Del Neri a year ago, same exact thing.

Love how the only good post in this page was ignored. True that, Oz.

Mancini is better, but not by much, and most definitely not the massive upgrade we need to compete next season. I'm sure if Leonardo leaves Inter, he will be replaced by a high quality competent coach, Milan already have a decent coach and a very strong squad, whereas Roma will definitely make changes and reinforcements come summer, with the possible hiring of Ancelotti or VB.

Where does that leave us? In a very precarious situation, as we need to finish in the top 3, and the signs thus far are not promising!

In other news, I had no idea Balotelli was THIS fucked up:

http://www.goal.com/en/news/9/england/2011/04/25/2457200/manchester-citys-mario-balotelli-averages-three-parking

The kid is garbage mentally. He'll be a hobo once his playing career is done and he has wasted all his money.
Would sure be a great signing here, huh?

Btw, he only has 14 appearances for City so far. Goes to show how much time he spends injured, suspended, banned, on the bench or just left out of the squad because of his issues.

Why people want to sign a player who gives so little in return, I don't know.

Rakitic surprised me too, despite knowing very well that he's a good player. I didn't expect him to become an instrumental player in Sevilla so quickly.
For 1.5 million € signing a 22 year old who is better (and already more experienced at the top level) than more than half of your players was a must.
Its not rocket science, he was an instrumental player for Schalke and most assists in Germany
It is rocket science when you're conditioned to give Italians more points in scouting reports and the player doesn't play in Serie A. These clowns at this club probably didn't even know Rakitic was available.

Casemiro. 19 year old. u20 year old Brazillian NT player. Sao Paolo wants 5M. Midfielder.

Gazetta says its almost a :donedeal:
Very good young defensive midfielder. But it's just so Juventus to go after him instead of someone like Ganso and Lucas. Very pitiful stuff.

SKY 24: Mancini in pole-position for Juve job. Meetings were held on Sunday.
Mancini would be an improvement on Del Neri, no doubt about it. But exactly how much will we improve? As I've outlined in my blog post, mentality and chemistry are our biggest problems currently. As a team, we don't have much going for us and it seems like it's just 11 individuals on the pitch. Mancini will improve how the defense is organized, but I'm not so sure he's the right guy to build chemistry and a winning mentality with the current group of players.

Moreover, Mancini is a typical Italian coach. I guess we just don't want to become a more progressive team.

Honestly, whats this hoopla with Mazzari? I know Mancini isnt all that, but IMO he is descredited quite a bit for being in a hated rivalling Inter that would auto win most decent/good coaches. Mazzarri and his 3-5-2 would be a disaster. We don't have the players for it.
