I don't see the reason to change the system drastically again to suit a Mazzarri, Juventus should ideally be set up for a 4-4-2/4-2-3-1 next season under an appropriate coach.
It is rocket science when you're conditioned to give Italians more points in scouting reports and the player doesn't play in Serie A. These clowns at this club probably didn't even know Rakitic was available.
If my memory isn't betraying me I think we were seriously after him and Marotta even went to Germany in December to follow him. His agent mentioned us as hot favorites to sign Rakitic. Gazzetta talked about it as an almost done deal. Then suddenly we completely gave up and he went to Spain. We apparently wanted to get him for free in June, not pay transfer money in January.
In any case, wasted opportunity.

Seriously though Van Gaal rejected to coach us according to some sources, did the same with Spartak. He was the only one who could get us back on the top.

People keep talking about the mental makeup of these coaches, but nobody has mentioned that Mancini all but quit on Inter after that adverse CL leg against Liverpool. I always thought that was pathetic - and I have no desire to see that guy at Juventus.
We need to go to Marseille with a bag of cash and buy out Deschamps.
Most of our money needs to be spend on a coach and fullbacks.
