No disrespect but wtf has this got to do with the present? Btw Davids was the best box-to-box player at the time, you should be shot for just comparing those donkeys with him, thier not even world class:sergio:
We were talking about Moggi and the things he said in the past and present.

    RELAX! shot? Who?

So, in other words, Moggi should be shot? Because he was quoting what Moggi was saying.
And thier's a reason why he actually never did that, had something to do with Davids being world class and the others just shit:sergio: Anyway this ain't a moggi thread, and Moggi has'nt been at the club for like 5 years, open a thread for him or go on his thread:tup:

Well obviously they're not shit, and we also don't know how they are going to turn out with Juventus. If you can predict this you are wasted on this forum. De Rossi, D'Agostino and Aquilani combined were worth €50m at their peak, with how their careers have actually turned out. That plus €10m for a 28 year old Davids? Close call.

Aquilani €20m, D'Agostino €20m, De Rossi €30m. As for the rest: no comment needed.

De Rossi and Aquilani have been overrated players, no doubt about it.

Wouldn't have given Davids away for a combination of those players. He was indeed world class.

Sanchez will surely not be here next season. Pastore probably neither. Aguero and Rossi are way too overpriced. Tevez... maybe, but still, we'd have to spend really big on him (and we'd need CL). Neymar is probably the most realistic out of those options. Personally, I'd take Hazard. Quality player and not overpriced for sure.

That's bullshit. In the last days I read that the real clause is 16M and that is just the price they start talking. They'll also just release him to a big club. Don't remember if this means scudetto/la liga/premier league challengers or not.
Even for 16M Nuri Sahin would be a steal. He should be one of the top priorities in the summer.

If we are looking back in hindsight I agree, but irrelevant. You look at the deal in 2001, not ten years later. I'm not sure if you remember the promise of those players then. Obviously Moggi did, which is why he was going to trade.

So what are you saying, we should have went through with the deal at that time?

And these are same people who wonder why we finish 7th:lol: and become a joke, when they consider shit like that worth 50million:sergio: we should sign sahin, he's a million times better than brainless Melo and plain average aqufresh, or Marchsio, who is'nt actually good at anything Sahin/Hazard/Benzema/VDW/Cissokho/Mascherano i'd be happy if we signed just any 3 of these players, cause thier all quality.

What don't you understand? That is the value those players had at their peak. Aquilani went for €20m, Roma rejected a £25m bid from Man Utd (over €30m at the time) for De Rossi several years back, and Udinese wanted €20m (more like €15m) for D'Agostino. That's what dictates value, the selling club, not your bloody opinion lol.
