Chelsea seems very interested, Abrahamovichs Israeli guy is a FIFA-agent and close to Neymar. Apparentely they took the liberty to meet up with him when he was in London for the game.

Studio Sport: Neymar for Juve will be impossible in 2011/2012 because Bastos is already their non-EU player.
That is sickening...

:inter:

Moments like these are when I hope Giovinco returns to us, or else he's going to be added to the long list of ex-juventus players that rape us each time we play them...

I'm sure there are members here who understand this much greater than I do, I was wondering moving forward in the transfer market in the next few seasons how will Juventus compare to the Barcelona's/Real Madrid's/Man Utd's/Chelsea's of this world when this whole fair-play comes in?

The reason I ask is because clearly at the moment we cannot compete financially with these teams on a financial level and we are missing out on players we may have signed in seasons past. Will this whole fair play actually even the playing field and allow us to compete again or will these clubs find loop holes to continue to spend big $$??

Sorry if i'm going over old ground...

Shit, if I had it my way financial fair play would come into play right now. We are set for this rule, and I personally think it would allow us to compete with those clubs listed. Plus Barca/Real would have to be a little more careful.

It just worries me that while we are readying ourselves for fair play other big clubs don't seem to be doing the same (to the extent that we are). Are we that pro-active and innovative or is there something they know that the tennis coach and his band of merry men haven't worked out? or is it just that they don't care because they're just trying to win now instead of planning for the future?

We have 2 aces against Roma in the summer, Iaquinta and Amauri 2 worthless players who I believe Roma like.

Make a deal with roma over Menez and give away Iaquinta or Amauri in the deal to lower the price, would be a legendary deal alá Carini-Cannavaro ;)

It depends on whether the rules will be 1) upheld and 2) subject to loopholes. So the answer right now is uncertain.

For instance, the FFP rules are all about clubs "spending within their means" and "not spending more than their income." The Sheik at City pumps money into the club at the whim of a hat. If he can no longer do that, I don't see what's there to stop him from developing his own, say, media company in Dubai, and "agreeing" to a sponsorship deal worth 3 Billion Euros.

I'm not sure if that's feasible in this, but it's something to think about.

Yea this is something that crossed my mind too, hence my confusion. Surely though, if people on a forum can foresee something like this then the powers that be can do the same and put measures in place to ensure that this doesn't happen

Oh, looking at our own CONgress and group of elected officials here in the states, I could definitely see them being outsmarted by random people on the internet.

If I were a big club and was aware that soon my funds will be restricted, I'd go crazy and sign as many good players as possible now. That's what I feel Chelsea is doing.
