– And now the last question. What can we do with the endless rumors coming from Italy that Luciano Spalletti is going to leave for the Serie A soon?

– What can I do? We just have to view these rumors as… rumors. And not pay any attention to them. I didn`t get any offers. How many times do I have to repeat, that my thoughts are linked to Zenit, and not with any other football club?!

Things are changing, I see. No longer are we going for little paid, mediocre coaches.
Instead, now we're going for mediocre coaches who command high wages.
Yea, I think it makes the incompetent lot running this club, feel a little more secure spending high wages on a coach. They think Capello, Mourinho and co. win because they're paid a lot of money instead of the other way round. So maybe Spalletti will do the same. Little do they know, they've discovered a 45 year old Del Neri.

Another season out of the Europa. A trophy we're going to be dreaming about three years from now, when the Champions League is as distant a dream as Jorge Martinez's contract extension.

Balotelli in darts controversy
Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli was caught throwing darts towards a group of youth team players at the club's training ground on Sunday.

The incident comes just days after Balotelli asked Italy boss Cesare Prandelli for help to change his errant ways, which have recently irked his club manager Roberto Mancini.

Balotelli was excluded from Prandelli's latest Italy squad after he received a red card for a Nigel De Jong style challenge on a Dynamo Kiev player in the Europa League.

Prandelli has implemented an ethical code since taking charge of Italy and expects his players to behave well even when they are not on international duty.

Balotelli is quoted as telling several newspapers that he threw the darts because he was bored.

City aren't said to be treating it as a 'serious transgression' but rather as a 'misguided prank'.

:howler:
That is fucked up. (Sorry had to post)

So what are todays rumors and any news on Neymar guys?

Worst case scenario is we get Spalletti. At least we will play some sexy football and scrape the 442. So that's two variables out of our troubled equation. I think with a strong budget and some great signings Spalletti would do just fine. He starts with the best GK around, a strong CB partnership and hopefully some new wings backs. Get Neymar, Matri and Quag with Krasic and we get a strong attack.

Buffon
Beck(5)-Bonucci-Chiellini-De Ceglie
Melo-Marchisio
Krasic-Quag(11)-Neymar(30)
Matri(15)
