Finally! I'm not the only one who thought this.

Very silly transfer.
Does it not depend on how he is replaced?

I would have no problem with Juve keeping Melo, but if he could be sold and Mascherano bought for a similar price, I'd say that was a very good move.

Then again, I'd ditch Aquilani and go all out to have a Melo-Mascherano midfield next season. :D

Since I find it hard to see us being able to offload Iaquinta, I think we'll have at least- Del Piero, Quag, Toni, Iaquinta next season. I would not be surprised if we buy Matri. Therefore, the Aguero, Neymar, etc. wishes seem unrealistic to me.

most juve supporters i know and respect, like me, see melo as one of, if not our best players this season...because of his form though, it likely makes him one of our more valuable assets...i would rather see marchisio sold than melo, but we wouldn't get as much for him, as he has experienced yet another extremely inconsistent season.

Anyone with half a brain who matches Juve should realize Melo is LEAST of our troubles, its like saying Krasic and Giorgio are issues (both of them have been inconsistent latter half of this season, like Melo, even if I value them higher, this team stinks). Yes he we can replace him, but why? Its totally unnecessary when there are bigger issues to dea with, with whats prolly a limited budget, with smaller chance to get real good players due to her declining reputation/lack of CL.

I see not problems of getting players, Bastos,Neymar,Macherano,Beck,Bosingwa,Rossi,Sanchez,Ilicic,Pastore,Menez,Hazard and the list goes on, im sure almost all of them would accept to come here, if we pay the price their clubs want ofcourse. So lack of cl/reputation isent a issue IMO.

Money could be a problem, but I belive we will invest this summer. Many experts believe it to like Di Marzio and many more. Many things point at it. But you never know. With the new arena I think we see this as a chance to come back.

A good mercato would raise the tickets we sell so, and to miss CL again would cost us alot

You dont think its an issue that we dont have CL and have such declined reputation? If it was just us bidding for them, or the other bidders not being big name/money teams, then yeah. But all those players except prolly Ilicic will have other big clubs going for them.

it definitely affects our allure, although as with krasic, we still have (or perhaps back then still had) enough prestige from our history to attract some high quality players...dzeko actually seemed keen-ish as well. what is very obvious is that most quality players already established in the decent leagues, if they are not already at a champions league club, will want to be with a champions league club. Its not just the pull of the top european competition, but the teams who are regularly in that competition, generally have more money than us, so they can pay more...two factors working against us. which makes marotta's job all the more tough. he must SELL the club itself, and where its headed, as he cannot rely on selling the idea of where we are now, because we are in a shitswamp, and have been for two seasons now.

which leaves us with...at best, high quality already established players who are unhappy at their current clubs who believe in whatever the hell our project is....a second group of players in less than the top leagues looking for an entry point into a top league...or players who have shone somewhat at smaller teams than us in the top leagues (such as martinez). there is also the idea that as our first XI is far from set in stone, the chances are high for new signings to cement regular playing time...and finally, our prestige does still count for something, as does the fact that we have del piero and buffon.

Sanchez to be #1 target- We have good relations with Udinese - Can be stalled if Udinese qualifies for CL.

Rossi, Menez or Neymar to be the alternatives

Marotta wants to bring Poli next season.

Manchester United wants Chiellini.
