Is he any better than let's say, Andre Ayew? I've only seen Bastos a few times and he never impressed me. I was always impressed by Pjanic whenever I watched Lyon last season.
Well, Ayew is on fire this season, so not many players in France come close to him. The thing I like about Bastos is that he isnt a showpony, unlike many other Brazillian player. He gets the job done without many tricks and flicks. He has a wicked left foot too, but every good game I have seen him playing was on the right wing and not on the left.

Pjanic, is a very good player, A bit young too (21) but Gourcuff, who has been playing like shit often is the starter.

Nedved:

Last year he played 32 games scoring 10 goals and getting 1 assists

This year he has played 22 games scoring 5 goals but having 4 assists

Just in Ligue 1 that is.

2009/2010 - Apps - 47 G - 15 A - 4

2010/2011 - Apps - 32 G - 8 A - 5

Very good stats for a Winger.

Hmm This is worrying, I don't think Krasic would do well on the left cutting in with his right, so how would Bastos fit? Would he play well on the left side?

Yeah those are really good stats, but you know what the great Skovdahl said about stats. For his age and nationality (1 non-eu spot) I don't think Bastos would be the best available option.

He plays there (left wing) since one and a half season. Briand and Delgado play on the right now. The former being very good this season.

He's fortunate to have Cissokho playing behind him for the overlap. The problem of double marking doesnt excist there. How would he cope with De Ceglie behind is something Im curious about.

Like Nilmar? Look at him at Villareal? ;)

Aulas admitted Bastos would of been last year had it not been for him, the players will to join us is obviously very evident and they face having an unhappy player on their hands.
