Roy Hodgson may be gone but Agger is understood to still be unhappy with his situation on Merseyside and is actively seeking a move away from the club. Juventus are believed to be the front-runners to sign the Danish international who could move this transfer window, or in the summer, but Tottenham and Arsenal are also interested parties. Agger joined the Reds from Brondby in 2006 after being signed by Rafa Benitez.*

I agree, and I don't mind so much if we don't buy "so many" players as long as we buy quality players. from when we returned from Serie B we have been buying mediocre players for way too much money because all the so called "guru's" in charge thought that's what we needed. The season we're having now is the season we should have had when we were promoted. All we've done is prolong the pain and still achieved nothing.
If anyone thinks there's a quick fix other than a Man City style takeover then they're sorely mistaken. This will take time to see results and the hierarchy are clearly to blame. If we had re-built properly and made the hard decisions that were required when they screwed us and sent us to B I reckon we'd be reaping the rewards about now. I fear this will take longer than most people think.
