Why would Atletico let their main striker go in the middle of January? Its not really easy to fill such a void during the season when even the money being paid isn't unbelieveble high. Its hard to buy quality in January, its way harder to find a star player in January since I cant think of any clubs wanting to sell them during the season.

If only 'we' had kept balza, cassani or crishito 'we' would have had a far better selection of full backs.
As for forwards, when was the last time 'we' produced a decent number 9? We are now being linked to strikers that even teams like bologna would turn down.
Thanks to the unique financing of the summers deals we are scheduled to pay an awful lot of money for shite players ( Martinez and motta ). Hopefully these deals have been arranged as such 'we' do not have to complete the transfers.
How did Marrotta clear the deck in the summer? We lost our only poacher and our two creative magicians along with our maverick winger. This would be okay if 'we' replaced them adequately! Krasic, aqua and quags had been decent but the shit that has remained has not.
