Juventus and Milan are occupied by a liking for Anderlecht striker Romelu Lukaku, claims agent Cristophe Henrotay.

A number of clubs around Europe have been linked with the young Belgian striker, but concrete interest remains hidden for now.

"I know that the player is liked by Juventus and Milan, but only indirectly. Until they contact me directly then I cannot speak of a real interest," the agent told Calciomercatoweb.it.

"There were some informal surveys, but I have not been contacted and I have not recieved any signs to take things forward.

"At the moment there are no negotiations, and furthermore I don't think Anderlecht will sell in January."

Silva isn't mentioned.

Joleon Lescott, Wayne Bridge, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Emmanuel Adebayor, Roque Santa Cruz and Jo have been earmarked either to be sold off at cut-rate prices or loaned out with the club willing to pay 50% of the players' wages.

In addition, Shay Given and Adam Johnson want to leave having lost their places in the side.

Juve to buy after Amauri injury

Juventus are seriously thinking about signing a new striker in January after Amauri’s latest injury blow.

The Brazilian twisted his knee in training yesterday which could see him sidelined for up to three months. Further medical tests will be carried out later today.

Juventus were already thinking of making a New Year bid for a centre-forward given Amauri’s numerous injury problems this term and his shyness in front of goal.

The former Palermo striker, who won his first Italian cap at the start of this season, hasn’t scored in the League since February’s 3-2 win over Genoa.

Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema, who netted against England on Wednesday night, is a possible target given his issues in Spain.

It’s still unclear at this stage though whether Real would release him on loan given that Juve will probably lack the funds to make an outright bid.

However, Juve director general Beppe Marotta has a list of other alternatives as he strives to work his magic on the transfer market.

Catania’s Maxi Lopez is an option even if he has hardly scored so far this term, while Manchester City’s Emmanuel Adebayor is a possibility even if his wages could prove to be a stumbling block.

Stuttgart striker Ciprian Marica, who scored at both ends in Romania’s 1-1 draw with Italy in midweek, is another name being mentioned.

Palermo’s Massimo Maccarone has been paired too.

Harry admits Kranjcar fears

Spurs boss admits for first time that unhappy Kranjcar could leave

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has admitted for the first time that Niko Kranjcar could leave in January - but hopes he will stay.

The Croatia midfielder has grown increasingly disillusioned with a lack of opportunities at White Hart Lane and this week repeated his threat to quit the club if he continues to be frozen out.

While Redknapp would like to keep hold of the 26-year-old, describing him as "fantastic" and also "unlucky" that Gareth Bale and Rafael van der Vaart are playing so well, the Spurs boss finally declared on Friday that he would not stand in Kranjcar's way if he wanted to leave in the next transfer window.

Speaking ahead of the crunch clash with arch-rivals Arsenal on Saturday, Redknapp said: "We're not going to gift Niko away; he's a top player in my opinion.

"Let's see how things go in the next month with him."
Understand

He added: "I really wouldn't want to lose him, but I do understand where he's

coming from as well.

"He needs to play; he's a top-class player. He's gone away and scored five

goals for Croatia in the last three games.

"Hopefully, he'll get his chance sooner rather than later."

So Spurs don't plan on letting him go for peanuts but we do have a shot if we could strike a deal that includes Iaquinta, if they're still interested.:eyebrows:
Why would we let IQ go now that Amauri is out for the rest of the year?

I don't think anyone would actually pay that for Pastore anymore though. Kaka was less than that when he wasn't getting injured.

But for winter we oughta get Benzema or someone. Hopefully Inter gets relegated and is forced to sell Eto'o in the winter for chump change.

Is Jo an EU, i wouldn't mind a loan deal with 50% wages being payed by man city..Adam Johnson is a very very good left winger,i still dont know why he doesn't play that much,i know milner is on form but he really should be playing more than he is now..he is definitely worth a shot if he is willing to play in serie a..

Great we are back into the Lukaku business. TBH, I am getting keener on this kid by the day and I already liked him...
Lukaku is the perfect choice for us ... CF with EU pass and a great future. While it is true that he is playing for Belgium and in general they are not the best NT to learn from - I believe a great generation of players is forming for them. They can win stuff.

Lukaku would be in the 15-20 mils range and we can easily get that from both Iaq and Amauri. I think that is a great deal. Our competition is coming from Milan and they are clearly more interested in Balotelli, due to political reasons.
