SS, LW?

And there are a couple of players who need to prove themselves before going about them making a world class team. IE, Bonucci.
Sure, a SS and a LW would be necessary, but we could be considered world class without them.

Barring the fullbacks and the CF position, we don't have any average players. All of them are good to great. Bonnuci still needs to prove himself I agree but he's a great player in the making. He's been very solid for us so far and he does start for the Italian national team.

I can't think of too many teams that are better than us in terms of quality after we cover the weak positions. Maybe Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, Barca, Real, Inter. When you have a team that ranks in the top 6 or 7 in the world then I think you can be called world class.

But you aren't saying that those are the only positions we should reinforce this summer right?
No of course not. We're far from complete but not far from being considered a world class team. That's my opinion anyway. We still need to cover a lot of positions. We need to replace Alex, Iaq, Amauri with at least two great strikers. We need to buy a natural quality LW. We need a 3rd choice CB. We need to replace Sissoko with a good DM.

All in all, I'd say we're about 7 players away from being Champions league contenders. But my point was that a few years ago, our team wasn't even remotely close to being considered great.

We still have some weaknesses but things are looking better.

Now, that sounds better.

With just 3 signing the team is still too weak to be called WC imo, specially with the kind of squad depth you guys have at the moment.

I was only talking about the starting 11 when I said we were close to being world class. But what's interesting is that our squad depth actually compares quite well to Inter and Milan.

Milan's bench: Inzaghi, Flamini, Socrates, Antonini.

Inter's bench: Pandev, Materrazi, Maringa, Santon.

Juve's bench : Del piero, Sissoko, Martinez, Legro.

Not really.

Milan's bench: Inzaghi, Robinho, Sokratis, Seedorf, Antonini/Abate, Gattuso/Boateng/Flamini/Ambrosini depending on who they play.

Inter's bench: Pandev, Materazzi, Mariga, Santon, Coutinho, Motta (is he playing?), Mancini

Juve's: Del Piero, Sissoko, Martinez, Legro, Lanzafame, Pepe

I know i missed a few but still i would say Inter's bench is better.

And to be honest i wouldn't consider Milan a WC team at the moment, on paper perhaps yes, but they're too shaky for my liking.

The only player I would rate on that Milan bench is Robinho. The rest are rubbish.

I can't say I'm very impressed with Inter's bench either. Pandev and Motta are good. Coutinho starts for Inter and he's okay, not great.

Overall, I would still take Juve's bench. There's a little quality in every department. It's evenly distributed unlike Inter and Milan. I would still say that Inter has the better team but not necessarily more depth.

Gaybriel.:sergio:

I know that! He spelt the name incorrectly, i was being sarcastic.
Cut me some slack, it's 3 am over here and i haven't slept in 2 days. :(

And for a minute i actually though he was referring to Socrates the brazilian from the 70's 80's and then i was like "fuck me, it can't be" being Milan they could pull it off though.
