Juve set sights on Forlan

Juventus will make inquiries about signing Atletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan in January, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Turin giants are of the opinion that their attack needs strengthening especially in light of their Europa League commitments.

Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta has a good relationship with Atletico stemming from negotiations about Tiago.

He has made Forlan the club's No 1 choice, although the difficulty of luring him away from the Vicente Calderon has warranted a list of valid alternatives.

Marotta is monitoring Catania's Maxi Lopez and Palermo's Mauricio Pinilla, and would apparently be prepared to swap Amauri for the latter.

He is also keeping an eye on Alessandro Matri, the Cagliari striker who has impressed Juventus a lot on his recent visits to Turin.

It's likely that Juventus will have to sell before they can buy, so Marotta is sounding out any parties who are interested in signing Momo Sissoko.

Forlan is too old but I wouldn't mind seeing him here. Pinilla is average at best. I don't know much about Maxi Lopez but I think we've gotten enough Catania players for one year. Or make that one decade. Matri is good but I don't know about his consistency. He would be a good sub, maybe.

Even worse for Pinilla who has hasn't scored more than 5 goals a season in hi entire career until last season when he scored 24 in Serie B. :D

Why all are speaking that we need new CB? Legro is one of the best bench-CB in serie A.

And speaking about DM/CM- we have 4, it's also enough.

We need 2* fullbacks, 1 LW, 1 ST.
*or at least 1 who can play on both sides.

After that - SS.
And we are ok.

Legro isn't good enough & we need a long term solution. Sissoko might leave.

If Amauri & Iaquinta leave we will need two more strikers at a minimum.

We're playing Marchisio as a LM and Sissoko has been atrocious and is probably leaving. We actually have two CM at this point. Once we get a LW, we can count Marchisio as a CM.

We're playing Marchisio as a LM because Pepe isn't good enough. If we'll get Elia, for example, Marchisio will fight for 2 CM spots with Melo and Aqui.
Sissokko is ok for 4th choice.

Yeah, that's why I said until we get a LW. There's no guarantee that we will buy one so Marchisio will be counted as LM as long as he is playing there; we still need a CF and two fullbacks before we get a LW. The only other midfielder we have in rotation
is Sissoko. Sadly, he's not good enough to replace either Melo or Aquilani. I think he could be better, but he hasn't shown too many signs of improvement.

He used to have a beastly attribute to him when he would run behind attackers like he was hunting for game to feed his family. He had a killer instinct, and now that instinct is gone. All that is left is a clumsy, tall, black, bad excuse for a footballer.

Why did you have to bring up his color?:disagree:
I'm not being racist, I'm only being descriptive. If he was Chinese, I would have said yellow. If he was from Belarus, I would have said he's white. If he was Arab, I would have called him a sand nigger:D

I'm not judging him because he's black. I'm only saying that he's black.

Edit:

Fuck you if you doubt me.. I'm piece of racist white trash and I say it proudly. And fuck this argument, I don't want to win, I'm outie.
Here, tell these people something they don't know about me.

Are you saying because you want to bust my balls or because you genuinely believe that Juve aren't 3 players short of becoming world class team?
No mate, i was being completely serious.

A world class team is a Barcelona, Real Madrid, Inter, Chelsea. You guys don't have many players that can start for those teams. With the exception of Krasic, Chiellini and Buffon(who shouldn't be counted because he never plays). The others aren't even close to start for the aforementioned teams.

You are saying that a team that starts Grygera, De Ceglie, an overaged Del Piero, Quagliarella and Marchisio as a winger is a few players short of being world class? A little too far fetched if you ask me.

Other than the teams i mentioned above; Man United, Arsenal, Man City, Bayern Munich, Lyon, Milan definitely have better squads than Juventus.

I think Aquilani and Melo would start for just about any team. So would Marchisio. I don't think Milan and Lyon have better squads than Juve at the moment. I'm not saying Juve is at the world class level. I said we need to cover a few more positions. If we had two great fullbacks and world class striker, then we're pretty much up there with the big boys.

Every team has it's weaknesses. Being world class doesn't mean you are perfect in every position. Look at United. They have flaws in so many positions, and even Madrid has problems in defense. Milan have an average midfield at best. Arsenal don't have a world class attack by any means. I can go on here.

The point is, all these are world class teams but they aren't covered in every position. They are just really good in certain positions. And we will be once we have the positions I mentioned covered. Ya catchin ma drift?
