I don't think we'll keep Quagliarella, Motta, Rinaudo and possibly not Pepe.

You mean to tell me we negotiated a last second deal like that for Quagliarella and we intend to keep him? The move screamed of a band-aid solution from the get-go. Pay the 4M or whatever this year so he helps us get CL and then let him go. Pure band-aid.

I don't get why we would present them as loans then, makes no sense.

Yeah, makes no sense. If they present it as loan with option to buy, it has to be a loan with option to buy.

Say, touchwood, if any one of those loaned players go into a season long injury or even ended their career, do we still pay the "buy out clause"?

The management can't convince the shareholder in this case as they were officially presented as loan deals and we are not supposed to bare the risk.

Regarding Torres wasn't he third top scorer or fourth behind rooney drogba and bent? for a injured striker thats good. If he can stay / get fit he should come but I would rather dzeko as I think he will be better then torres

Ok... I'll bite.

You're calling Benz flop while saying Adebayor is not, double standars much?

May i ask you, have you seen Adebayor play? I mean for entire matches during several periods of time? or just EPL highlights?

One season? Really? one season where he did good for Arsenal, when in Arsenal he needed atleast 5 clear chances to score one, i would credit that season more to how the entire team played more than him, his finishing is one of the poorest aspects of his game.

Go ahead, ask Fred if you don't believe me.

And you're using double standars again, Benzema scored 26 and 25 goals and assisted 7 and 4 times in the two seasons he spent at Lyon, how is that not scoring as much as Adebayor?

City a struggling team? :howler:, and mind you, there are several teams in the EPL who can't defend for shit.

This season Benzema haven't done bad imo, he's mostly played out of position out wide, so obviously he's not as effective as he could. What you're not getting is that of those 24 appearences he only started 14 for RM and the rest were cameos as a sub.

Multiple strikers who compete with Adebayor, really? :howler:, get a grip. Barring Tevez, he's facing competition from the oh so great Santa Cruz, the new Pelé Jo who strike fear into the souls of defenders everytime they're in the pitch.

Benzema may only compete with one striker for one position, but that other striker is a damn good striker who's been scoring 20+ goals for the last 2 seasons, i wouldn't bench him either.

How is he more suited for Seria A? is it because he's taller? because he's big? small/average sized striker have tormented serie A in the past already, and i'd much rather have Benzema in my team than Adebayor anyday.
I was actually pointing out that you were using double standards since both players do not get enough playing time. You said Ade was a City flop while Benzema was not. I showed you that Ade did quite well given the time he got compared to Benzema who did nothing.

2006/2007: Ade 8 goals, Benz: 5
2007/2008: Ade 24 goals, Benz: 20
2008/2009: Ade 10 goals, Benz: 17 (Fights with Arsene Wenger and moves to city, Benz goes to madrid)
2009/2010: Ade 14 goals, Benz: 8

These are League goals for both, taking into consideration the difference between EPL & French Ligue. So my point does stand. In Europe, Benz edges Ade by a goal.
When I said competition for first team spot, I was talking about last year. This year Ade has been missing because of injury.

You are making it seem like Benzema is on a whole different level than Ade when the numbers show that they are more or less the same despite the difference between the Leagues they played in.

Btw, I watch the EPL more than I watch Serie A, particularly Arsenal. I find it hard to believe that you watch the french league (I dont).
EPL has been yielding the strongest defensive sides these couple of years. Apart from Inter, Serie A has no team that is strong at the back, on paper. In france, not a single one of them has good defenders. Granted, Serie A takes a more defensive approach to the game ofcoarse.

You guys hate Adebayor just because he is Adebayor, the same reason a lot here hate Balotelli or Pazzini. Benzema is still young and can develop in to a better player than Adebayor in the future but for Juve's best interest... we cant risk splashing money for a player hoping he reaches his full potential. Based on past form, Adebayor is the safer choice. We have too many players that are unrealized potential.

Here are his 30 Goals from the "One Season" that you are trying to give all the credit to the team and none to Ade. Watch that and tell me if most of these goals are team play or individual Talent:

And here are his 14 goals (which for some reason you make it seem like 4) from his "flop" season:

18 goals in 22 games most of which were less than a 60 minute cameo by a half fit player in bloody liverpool. If that doesnt scream quality I dont know what does.

If he stays fit he can be as good as Drogba if not better. He is also young. I'd definitely by him over Dzeko if both were of equal price.

I agree, I don't see us keeping Quag either. He really was a last day signing but I don't think he'll be signed. Or he needs to have one hell of a season with us this year but I don't see that happening.

You should start accepting that there are people who don't rate Benzema, no matter how much they try to underrate him by comparing to other players.

You and V don't seem to accept that there are others who don't like or rate Benz.
I accept some people don't rate him high enough, but the beef here is comparisons with Iaquinta, Adebayor and Pazzini. That's just plain ignorance.

Benz looks more similar to Adriano. that's what i thought of him the first time i saw him.

and being a flop in Real Madrid is not really counted as real flop. as they are known for putting alot of 'stars' in the same team and that never worked for them and they keep doing it every year instead of creating a balanced team. so i hope he will save his career if he ever sign for us.

but i would prefer Dzeko because hes better finisher and more skillful striker.

For me, it depends on the price, if we can save 10-15 million when getting Benz over Dzeko, I would definately consider it.
I think Benz has all the qualities to make it, his last two seasons at Lyon made that very clear.
However, if the price is the same, I think we should take Dzeko.

Either of the two would greatly improve our attacking game alot. I'd be happy with either one. As much as I'd love Dzeko here if the oppurtunity arose to take Benzema I would utilise that option first.

Just because French players we've had have always done really well and I have a soft spot for Benzema :p
