Ah, I see your logic Mr Fuddy.
Why thank you, Richie Rich.

Looking at how things are today, I'd say we need (speaking about starters here):

- LB
- RB
- Some sort of attacker, not quite sure yet which type exactly.

But I wouldn't be surprised if we, again, end up making unnecessary changes. For example to our central midfield.

because we need money to get Dzeko and to complete the moves of Aqui, Motta and Pepe.
Just reading that is one huge deja vu. Fuck no, SAY NO TO SETTLING FOR AVERAGE when it comes to the defence. We done that 3-4 seasons in a row now, 2 first seasons we had the excuse of rebuilding. But NO MORE to out prioritizing the defence for attackers and midfielders. For the love of God, enough!

I'd like to see the return of Giovinco for the LW position and maybe some defensively solid left back to complement him. Also Motta hasn't really shown enough reasons to buy him imo.

Lets sign Pepe and although I'm not too sure about Aquilani lets see how he performs and if he keeps himself injury free. I'm temped into looking for other alternatives though. How much would Aquilani cost?

Send Motta back to where he came from and lets see how Traore performs.

dude, who are we going to buy? the best candidates are either secure at their own clubs, or won't be worth it from a financial perspective.

and it's way more important to create a defensive unit rather than sign players with big reputations.

Zeigler in this case may not be spectacular, but he works hard, will run all night and can put in a decent cross.

There ARE quality fullbacks, we just DONT prioritize them, we happily spend the same amount of money and more on average midfielders and attackers, but ALLWAYS prioritize away defenders. That has to STOP. Ziegler is an average player, not a solution more then squad option, we need upgrades for STARTING position.

I did not say sign big reputation players, I said sign GOOD fullbacks/defenders. Its two things entirely different. Sick and tired of exposing ourselves there season after season, and simply going for stopgap signings with loans or free transfers. Ziegler would just be another case like that.

Cáceres looks pretty good for Sevilla. Hope he can get a Spanish citizenship soon, I'm interested.

Cassano AND Dzeko would be unwise. With the potential return of Giovinco, we'd be way overcrowded in attack. Which means a whole summer of underselling our players or a lot of unhappy faces on the bench.
Our leftside needs to be upgraded, in which positions depends on how we'll play and how Martinez and Pepe fare.
Depends on whether Giovinco can prove he is ready. Cassano would be a very secure purchase if Giovinco can't cut it, and he is arguably the best option out there. The whole business about Neymar interests me as well.

I don't like the idea of changing half the team again either but this should be the final time it has to be done and it should be done by finally adding quality instead of quanity.

As Osman said Defence should be a priority with a top RB and LB coming in and maybe even a better back up CB. We should keep Motta and De Ciegle as subs though Im ok with one of them being a started only if we sign a WC player for the other FB position

RW should be kept as Krasic/Pepe and LW Martinez/?? with Lanza being the one who has to move on.

Im satisfied with the CM positions though we may need a replacement for Momo if he goes so that also means taking up the option on Aquilani.

SS depend on what DP does. If he goes then we should think about the likes of Cassano but if he stays then there may not be a need to strengthen that position as we have Quag and Martinez can also play there.

CF is a must as I expect Iaquinta and/or Amauri to be sold and thats were a WC ST must be signed.

We need only 2 new buys this summer.
Let's give benfica Iaq+15mil for D.Luiz.him and pepe can give a great offensive/defensive balance to our left.this guy can launch attacks as good as any WC winger plus he can play CB as well thus a great back up for that.
and Dzeko.Him+DP/Guag/Ama would do.
We can also let go of momo maybe to break down dzeko's price.

We already gave Diego for Dzeko's price. Momo too? I don't think the Soaker would leave us, he's quite fundamental if your playing defence minded. FI claimed we replace him with Poli, but Poli is a whole other midfielder. I hope we won't launch a sky rising bid for Palombo, as I seriously can't stand that guy. I would give up Momo for Lass Diarra or Bordeaux's Diarra but other I would keep the guy.

If Seba continues with the start he has had and has an awesome season then a 4-3-3 with him, Dzeko and Krasic could be amazing.
