What makes you think the current management is any better?
During the first seasons out of B, we did the same thing. Quantity over quality. Then when we got quality, we just slid all the way down.
I am certain that this management, at the very least, is better than the last one. Because it is easy being better than Secco.

He made no real good signings. Giving Ranieri the boot and Ferrara the seat. And worse he couldn't make a sale if his life depended on it.

Marotta makes decisions, takes a gamble, some signings I don't like, but already he is showing decisiveness. Not an indecisive soft speaking Secco, who I imagine gets bullied around in the transfer market.

I am not really sure of the last part because Marotta went on a panic buying spree towards the end. Marotta's got more experience than Secco, so he's expected to be much better than him. Selling Diego and then not knowing whom to go after does not show decisiveness. He was good at selling players and reducing the wage budget (even though I am baffled by the Trezeguet deal).

Well, if a (versatile) left winger was needed, I probably would have looked at Ivan Rakitic. He probably could've come at a price lower than the one Juve spent on Martinez, and he's much younger. I recall Schalke put a 10 million euro price tag on his ass last year.

Boh, I've said it a hundred times and I'll say it again. Ivan Fucking Rakitic.
 I didn't remember him at all.:sergio:

I think Marotta could have done a bit better, but given the situation and the fact that few of us know the real financial considerations, I'm willing to reserve judgement for a while.

The Trezeguet issue doesn't surprise me. If it's true that his heart was set on moving to Alicante because of his wife, then Juve showed him the utmost respect by facilitating the move for almost no financial gain. Looking at all that he has done for us it would take a complete moron to show him out the back door without doing something to repay his loyalty...and I don't think anybody running the club currently is a moron. Well, that's my optimism speaking at least.
