Man I hope Marotta got an option on Dzeko. If he joins we'll be set for many years to come in the goal scoring department :xfinger:

I'll give you my theory on why Dzeko will play for us next season. Like usual, I might be out of the ballpark with this but...

We gave them Diego for cheap. The team that apparently told us to f*ck off about Dzeko but still we give them a very good player. Media said Real, City wanted him. He's still at Wolfsburg. The player said he wanted to join us and most important, we did want a forward(Borriello) but only on loan with NO option to buy. Maybe because we already have a deal for next season with another forward?

That's just me hoping.

You do know that an option to buy doesn`t mean we have to buy its just an option!

Hahahahah! I just read that Sevilla signed Martín Cáceres on loan with an option to buy for €5m, less than half of what we negotiated. And this is also after the World Cup too.

I actually think the same way as Mark, actually I wrote it somewhere in this forum before. TO have first option on Dzeko for next season is my theory.

Your comparing Birindelli and Pessotto with De Ceglie and Grosso?

Pessotto was a great player for us and was a key part of numerous succesful Juventus teams.

....And I hope yr right Mark, that seems to be the only logical explanation of offloading diego at the price we did.
Think about it this way...even if Diego did have a marginally dissapointing season with us this year too, we still would`ve been able to get around the same value come next mercato. Looks like Marotta`s thinking long term, players with low wages and loans this year, which should tide us to our objectives and then go all out when we have CL the next year.

I've been saying Dzeko will be at Juve for a while now. Along with Marky Mark, I stand by that conviction.

Its about time we continue our tradition of having world class strikers instead of this junk we have now.
