Yeah, and we have to let him go and make an attempt at a player who keeps the team up when we are down.

I'd rather loose Marchisio than Melo or Aquilani.
Your argument isn't fully valid either, there has been multiple games this season as well where the team has played well but Claudio is playing peekaboo and going all invincible.
I don't mind selling Marchisio for someone who will make us jump up in class, but that is different than saying Marchisio is inconsistent when he is surrounding my shit players. Marchisio is a good player and even on an off day he still produces for us. I am not sure why people seem to forget that.
OK, well then don't sell him, even for 100M.

He's an indispensable player, just like everyone's favorite Pepe.
LOL I am not saying don't sell him. I am, however, saying don't sell him if we don't make the right purchase with the money we would get.

People in Juventus have some kind of ingratitude with the (good) home grown players.

Like who?
I don't, I love the homegrowns. That's the way we should build the numbers of our squad, through our youth system.

But this doesn't mean we can't sell a player when the right price comes along.

Sell Marchisio and use the money to sign Sanchez/Pastore then fucking YES
but Juve would sell Marchisio and end up using the money to buy someone like Aquilani or Zaccordo

Indeed, IMO:
Signing Aquilani will result in selling Marchisio
Not signing Aquilani will result in keeping Marchisio.

My preference:
Aquilani is a bit more creative and we'd gain about 2-3 million so I think we should keep Aquilani (especially if we succeed in lowering his transfer fee with a few million)

If we can get 18-20m for him then let him go but we better fucking bring in the right players this time...hell we could bring in 2-3 young guns with mass potential for that...not a Pirlo, Bastos etc.

Nothing wrong with selling, hell I am even considering selling Buffon if it means a completely redone defense...and use our budget on everything else.

Sell Buffon for 25m, Marchisio for 20m, plus a 55m budget...there is our 90-100m to buy players to make the jump back up. We need to face it, either we spend that kind of money this summer to ensure a top 3 including bringing us a coach to get there or we may face a loooooonnnnngggg wait to get back to CL.

We didn't have to spend that kind of money before, we just weren't smart. Now we do need to and now is the time to do it otherwise we may be screwing our selves.

M'Vila? Both Moussa Sissoko and Kwadwo would fit in much better while you'd have money saved too.

I was quoting Moggi, who said he wasn't a champion when he signed.

So Marchisio was also shining sometimes and you know that, don't be selective.
Oh sorry.

One match at most?

I'm not selective nor I'm supporting Moggi's quote. I just think that he's a decent player but nothing special and probably not a player that should be in our plans for starting XI next season as he never really convinced. Also, that 'price' looks too good to refuse.

Truth be told, we'll never get 25m for Buffon and 20m for Marchisio :p
I know, just throwing out hopeful figures. Still, you see my point, right? We dreaded the thought for the last 2 years of selling Buffon because we had the money to bring in the right players but didn't. Now we might actually have to because we were so fucking dumb...we shot ourselves in both feet.

Just out of curiosity why would City want Marchisio? As far as I know they have De Jong and Touré, right? Both quality CM's for Mancini two CM system. They have Barry and Milner also? Wouldn't make lots of sense to me to go for Marchisio, he doesn't look like a starting material at all and not either of De Jong and Yaya will leave.

If Buffon guarantee's us a career like VDSar (until 38-39), then yes, keep him, but after all his injury worries the last few seasons, I don't know if he still be in the game for so many years, and then it might not be stupid to consider a 25MEuro if it would ever come in for him (although I agree with Melo that a 25MEuro offer for Buffon seems unrealistic)

I wouldn't even care if Marchisio stayed or left. He's one of the easiest players to replace and there is a lot of good CM's out there at the moment.

If it's an EPL team than 25m is not that unrealistic. But, agreed with your VDsar comment...however, take into account the amount paid for his wages and how that could be used to bring us other players not to mention his transfer fee on top of that.

Just hypotheticals:)
