While I realize the negatives of the acquisition as far as Suarez's craziness and antics, success in the Dutch league, etc; I think he's very talented. It also shows that the owners are willing to back the promises made when they purchased the club.
Hopefully Torres comes out this weekend and rubbishes the talk about him wanting to leave for our rivals.
We could've sold him for more to a Russian club in the summer, but he insisted on going to Spain and a warmer climate. Now he ends up in raining Liverpool.
Torres has wanted someone to play with for a while, now he has it. He wanted investment in the club. He's got both in Suarez. He claimed last week that he was happy playing under Kenny. If we had failed to sign Suarez he probably would have left.
There is no reliable source saying the Torres asked to talk with Chelsea. I won't believe it until it happens.
