Juve target Shawcross Juventus are reported to be ready to step up their interest in Stoke City defender Ryan Shawcross.

English reports suggest that the Bianconeri first started to take notice of the tough-tackling youngster after England boss Fabio Capello selected him for the full international against Egypt last March.

With their former Coach Capello still highly thought of in Turin, Juventus took his selection as notice of the former Under-21 star's talent.

As the Old Lady sink into relegation trouble, club officials are set to step up their interest in the 22-year-old in the January transfer window.

However, Stoke will not allow whim to leave on a budget fee as his contract does not run out until 2014.

Chelsea And Juventus Set To Battle For Brazilian Star Neymar - Report

Chelsea are battling with Juventus for young Santos star Neymar, according to The People.

The Brazilian forward was a summer target for Chelsea but the Blues did not meet the £32 million asking price demanded by Santos for their wonder kid.

It now looks as though Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti will face stiff competition for the Turin club, who could move for the 18-year-old in January in order to boost their squad and avoid sinking further in Serie A.

The Italian side have reportedly opened talks with Neymar’s representatives, but Chelsea are keeping a close eye on a possible deal as Neymar would be eligible to play Champions League football if he makes a move to Europe in the winter transfer window.

Arsenal have also been linked with Neymar, who has reportedly been fined by Santos and ordered to work with a psychologist after a series of petulant outbursts against his coach and team-mates.

Hasn't he said numerous times that he wants to stay in Brazil. Would be quite a risk to spend 32M on a Brazilian who is likely to become homesick. Not to mention his attitude problems
