marchisio is not a good a passer and melo can only go lateral, plus who would be cover for those 3 if we play 3 man mid, we got enough problems as it is. fix the defense and grind out results, thats the juve way
Marchisio, well he's not bad. Melo (other than the Sissoko-like passes which have reduced a lot this season) can switch play decently, but is obviously not a creative force. He and Aqua stay deep and Marchisio does well at pushing late into the box. Marchisio and Pepe will also cover and track back well. I'm not saying it's ideal, but from the little we see as spectators, it seems a good option that we can use.
We actually did well using the 4-3-3 against Milan. But Deneb is probably right with this team, even though the Juve way (that of the past few years) is outdated. The current team isn't good enough to do anything besides grind results, nor is the manager.

I wish we could grind out results. No way should we try to "hold on" to any lead with the defensive incapability of this team and it's self-destruct timer once we go a goal up.

thats more psychological tbh or in layman terms no balls or confidence, i d really like us to splash on a good RB and a LM with a good shot and stick with de ceglie for at least another year.

Oh, definitely not. That's just stupidity. I'm completely against sitting back but the teams and managers we've had recently only understand that sort of football in securing a result. It's outdated, much of the time it doesn't work, but that doesn't stop them.

how can we fix the defense though with decent options? in order to grind out results we need good fullbacks right away, but who is really available? i think we will have to wait until summer to evaluate the market for realistic options

unfortunately for you i can define it whichever way i want lateral in english is to the side and i dont give 2 fucks what a tightass like you thinks of it.
do i need to know who you are? seriously? no i dont now fuck off
i wish we can scout some unknown fullbacks for cheap. none of he names linked to us inspire confidence, and the top ones are all taken by stable clubs. this should number one scouting priority imo. fullbacks then a del piero heir.
