as i posted before, Juve have acted as a provincial side on the most part in the mercato, look back and see, who was zidane before he came to Juve? who was ravanelli? who was davids? we had only bought quality when we had to (exception of the secco era), i.e. when we sold zidane, we can't question marotta, thus far he has proven practically everyone wrong, it wasn't too long ago people were calling for his head when we loaned quagliarella having just sold diego, now don't tell me diego is still the better player for us?
I didn't say he did a bad job until now but I just don't like that "young Italian" and "Ital-Juve" bullshit. Another reason is that sometimes he looks to be really cheap.

In Dzeko case if that 9mln wage is true, than I don't blame neither him or Dzeko.

The thing with Dzeko is as I have already said I didn't see him play. Just statistics doesn't say much, as Hugo Almeida has relatively similar ones to Dzeko but I am definately not impressed by him. I wouldn't mind Dzeko but I believe he on his own would not guarantee us titles.

It's easy to say it but tougher to do it.
Some players are simply a "must get" and rarely an opportunity pops up for clubs of our financial power to get them. If and when such an opportunity pops up, it should be taken.
Personally I was willing to get Dzeko and sacrifice other positions. We need quality full backs, quality LW and a top quality striker. We can't get all 4 in one year anyway. We can get 4 players for that position, but how good will they be?

As it happened we didn't get Dzeko and we have more money for other positions. Which players will we get that can improve the team both short and long term, as Dzeko would have done?
The rate at which Juve are making chances this season, a good striker and good players in other positions would be more useful than a great striker with mediocre players in other positions.

That's all well and good but we need to buy quality now and they're very few quality Italian players around.
we've done this whole we need to buy quality/proven with blanc and secco that largely failed, i think we've been largely spoilt in the past and i trust that soon enough marotta will sort it out we just need a little patience, so far the 'model' is working nobody can really complain

I'd rather we become a top team in 2 years than a good team right now.
The problem is I don't see those fullbacks who will improve the team so much. If Dzeko's price was 30 or even 35m, I don't think we would have bought a good striker and more than 1 other good player.
Hindsight and we didn't really have much choice back then....but think of post calciopoli. We needed 8-9 new players and we bought 8-9 average players. Right now we don't have much/any use of them. If we bought (we weren't in position, but saying it for the sake of the argument) 3 great players and 2 average guys instead of 9 average players, right now we could have been a much stronger team.

Some Emarati guys whom are man shity fans saying that , this guy was the real reason behind the Dzeko deal , as he said to the club , sign Dzeko and don't bother about the money and Dzeko's salary .

and it is exactly people like him who are killing this sport, it is sad to say there are very few players that have any love for the sport anymore, ronaldinho being the perfect example, in contrast to somebody like beckham who is disliked in america, but you can't help but respect his hunger to still play at the highest level and professionalism.
