agree with iceman. delneri is supposed to like youth. signing a 29 years old won't help us on the long term. on the other hand we signed neddy when he was 29 and he has been one of our best transfers. but again, i would prefer trusting giovinco for this position than signing cassano...

That. Cassano was my dream this summer. Next summer? No.

But if, we spent huge on Dzeko, Cassano as an SS will be a great option considering his price.

Cassano-Dzeko will be fucking scary, but if our dear president is willing to spend heavily, then Aguero-Dzeko would be sex.

i would kill for aguero-dzeko. but we know that it won't happen. cassano-dzeko would be good for now. but don't forget that we have a whole bunch of players on loan with an option to buy. so we will need money either for them or to replace them. so i would be glad with gio-dzeko and some other good players in the team...

lol @ people bringing up Cassano's age. Here we are still preparing for Del Piero's successor and he's 35.

Cassano can play until at least 32. His game isn't really built on pace.

I know it's laughable that we're even going to discuss this, but what the hell.

From 2004 till 2009, during his spell at Lyon, he managed to score 67 goals in 150 matches, (in Europe, Ligue 1 and Cup). May I remind you that he began to play for Lyon's first team when he was just 17 years old. He'll be 23 next December.

Now don't tell me that you're basing your opinion on him because he wasn't a major hit at Real Madrid. Don't you remember how many players didn't perform at their best there? Does Kaka and Sneijder ring a bell? I can name you more if you want. So he makes 8M a year? You know it's Real Madrid we're talking about here, one of the richest and dumbest clubs in Europe.

Karim's talent is unquestionable and there's no doubt he'd do great here. He obviously needs to take a massive wage cut for him to join us. He'll be the perfect Trezeguet replacement.
At Lyon
I know he was good at Lyon but I just don`t see what is so special about him
From what Ive seen he is good but nothing special and 67 goals in 150 games is a good stats but Dario Hubner had some good stats too but I wouldn`t call him great

I acknowledge he is a good player and is better than what we currently got but I wish us to sign someone who is better as I say I just don`t see why he is that special
Signing him wouldn`t solve anything IMO
If we do sign him I hope I`m proven wrong and I hope he`ll make his talent so obvious so I woudn`t miss it

I also want someone younger if there any suitable candidate..
But i won't mind Cassano if the price is right. We even bought Nedved, Thuram at 29 years old, right.. And Inter bought Milito when he 30 y.o.

Who do you think is better than benzema at his age ?

It all depends on the price if we're getting him for a cut price (similar to Inter's deal with Sneijder) then we should definitely go for it...
