Not necessarily...after all Beck has been on the drawing board for months and who knows maybe they plan on Bastos as LB? I think we just prefer the idea of signing a WC player and there are more of them around than possible defender prospects to fill the positions needed.

I think Beck is a bit overrated in here. I watched him a couple of times, and wasn't too much impressed with him. He's just decent. Bastos is not even a LB to begin with.

This defense will get us nowhere, even with a WC player upfront.

I agree, you cant put only Melo and Pirlo in centre mid and then have Pastore and Aguer in front, especially with Aguero on the left.


If you really want both than you'd need something very defensive in the back:

Pastore AND Aguero? Yes, they are great, but you're taking it too far with it

To be honest i didn't watch a lot VDW but in World Cup he was great , also this year in CHL against Milan he was nice . Last year ADP huluminated him in E-Lague . Also some members her saied he is to lazy but talented player , i prefer him over any RB we have been linked with , as for Aguero+Pastore i know it's to much

Beck is ordinary imo. Isla, VDW, Boswinga all far better players imo

True, but if we had Aguero and Neymar (damn, we're really dreaming here ) I dont think we'd need Quag in the team, it would be better to have someone of different characteristics and better finishing. We wouldnt need the centre forward to drop back and a wide one taking his place, it could also look like almost a 4-3-1-2, with one the two wider forwards (Neymar and Aguero) interchanging to come back for the ball behind the other two. SO at times you'd have Neymar behind Matri and Aguero or Aguero behind Neymar and MAtri. no need for all three to be able to come back for the ball.

Yeah it would work, but it would be much better and much more enjoyable if the three forwards were good on the ball like Barca have now. It also makes the team less predictable which is a huge tactical problem for other teams and a pain in the ass for the defenders.
Think of United 2008, Rooney, Tevez and Ronaldo, Juve could do with 3 unpredictable forwards.

Here's a a nice idea, ever summer you lot dream of the Alonsos, Riberyes and Agueros and end the summer with a disappointment with the likes of Pepe and Martinez joining. Why not, dream of the Zaccardo's and the Palombo's and then watch Juve signing (slightly) better players with the likes of Pirlo and Beck, that'd make you happier.

Because I don't think Pirlo and Marchisio will be benched.
Also worth a mention is that reports are suggesting that Cassano wants to move from Milan due to lack of playing-time. He wants to be in top form for Euro 2012.

I agree, but we still need to sign a WC player up front...I've been saying this for over 2 years and we have yet to do so. On that note, I also agree our defense needs a big upgrade...which you have been saying for over 2 years and we have yet to do so.

I just think that had we had upgraded our offense when we knew Amauri was a shit bucket and our injury fitness issues kept plaguing us we should have made a move...ESPECIALLY when we knew we were selling Trez.


Also, for everyone else: so if this two non-EU rule comes back...who do you think we will go after?

Personally, I'd say fuck it and go after Dzeko.
