I'm not overrating Bastos but for you to say signing Elia instead is silly, because he's no where near as good as Bastos. We moan about average players all the time.

What price? I'm not aware one has been set in stone yet.

This I agree with. I would not pay over 15 Million for him, but if we get him for around that then that would be ok.

However Marotta's words made me think '' Bastos we are very interested in but he is NON EU ''

This leads me to believe we already have a player ''in hand'' who is not EU registered that we want to use that spot for. Unless Bastos gets a French passport I don't think the deal will happen.

Why are we constantly linked with Gila, do the papers enjoy pissing us off?
I'd honestly find it hard to accept us trading Buffon for anyone short of Messi to be honest. He's a hero as far as I'm concerned and still has many years left in him, just look at Van der Sar fir example.

Unless someone can catagoricly prove that Gigi's back problem will plague him for the rest of his career, I really don't think he should be sold, especially not for someone as average (in comparison) as Menez
